Multi piece done during various teenage confusions. Should be considered surrealism.
This painting was inspired by a walk in the Aspen woods around park city, Utah. To me Aspens are the supermodels of the tree world – all slender trunk and tiny branches. Get them at the right time and the ground really looks this colour….. to further explore the theme
Model – Millie Claire / MUA – Cloe Bunter of Makeup by Cloe Pentacon Six TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / I won’t show the digital versions, seems to have caused a little friction on dA ;) Needless to say if you’re familiar with the original Snow White text, you might just know what this is about :D Melbourne’s Parklands have very photogenic footpaths. I believe this was shot in the Queen Vic Park… I dunno, it was hot and there were a LOT of parks. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
I did this one last night …I have just been going into my mind trying to let go of bad moments and sift though the good stuff ….I guess find the magic I love the water ..always have …and when I was younger i found the back of someones property that had the best dock I could sit on ….I would sit there some morning and think being lost at sea would be the best thing ….sailing to differenrt lands as they came …..it was my time that I could relax laying on my stomach hands in the water and think peaceful thoughts of a life much bigger than mine. 14”x11” on wood panel
Model – Meluxine These are some outtake/alternates from the same shoot as Apple Blossom Girl – I actually took LOTS of shots from that set and am having strife picking the final shots to use, and since I treat RB as an alt/outtake spot as well as a preview/never before seen/standard portfolio, I figured what the hell ;) This particular pair were shot on my late Grandfather’s Ensign Selfix 820 on god knows what film, Fuji NPS 160 I thiiiiink… or possibly Portra 400NC. I had no idea what to expect, having never put film through the damn thing before, so the fact they worked and looked delightfully dreamy was very cool. These are scanned from the 120 neg, straight off the camera – no editing aside from putting them next to each other and whacking my watermark on them. Woohoo. Oil Pastel And Acrylic On Wood (With Minor Digital Enhancements) All of us need HOPE in our lives and these are some of my favourite quotes on that :D “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars” – Oscar Wilde “Hope is the dream of a soul awake.” – A French Proverb “The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is to live inside that hope.” – Barbara Kingsolver (Know of someone who needs the extra “lift” in his/her life? May this be a card of encouragement to that someone you care) You can view and buy my other “Hope Lifts Me Higher” creations from my Zazzle Gallery:

Did this for a “purple haze” themed comp on inspi.re – enjoyed it. Still learning how to do this type of thing…

This WAS the original painting in oils called “Dreaming of Life”. However, I wasnt happy. It did not speak to me. It was dark and I felt nothing when I looked at it. So I have painted over the entire painting. Trying to bring to it what I felt. I hope you like this painting better. Its taken 2 weeks to get it to this from the other one which I will post beside it so you can see the difference. 386 VIEWS on 24/11/09 BEFORE I REPAINTED IT. / AFTER I PAINTED IT AGAIN / Belinda Nye, BillyLee, Billy,
