  • This is my first piece done in the ‘Prismacolour’ brand of colour pencil. All my other pencil pieces have been in Derwents. The subject is a small Rhododendron plant at my studio, a delight to draw and the pencils a delight to use. I did this piece while I was doing ‘Steve’s VL’ the colours, frills and freedom of this was a break from the straight lines and accuracy of the cars. Done in Prismacolor Premiere pencils on light grey (nearly white) mount board. Size – 30×53cm. 2008 / Won ‘Highly Commended’ at the Frankston Art Show 2008 / Sold at exhibition 2009 Featured in the ‘Colored Pencil Art’ group.

  • Ttv photograph using Canon 40D 100mm macro through a Kodak Duaflex .. took advantage of the moisture on the petals and the dirt and grime from the ground for some added natural grunge. Very up close and personal with a red red rose.
