i spent all day ..8 hrs long shooting in Bikaner, these old ‘tables’ are a common side and the men play cards on them, isnt that fantastic! if you like old buildings ,old doors ,old anything well this is the place to go, away from the hectic streets and bazaars in the little narrow windy streets you will see things like this, quite and peacefull, colors and cows and open gutters…Bikaner, Rajahstan

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. Medium: Tempra / Size: 24”x24” / 2008 This one seems to be everyone’s favorite. For this assignment I had to select a culture to emulate in my work, so I chose Mexican folk art. The animals are traditionally statues painted in vibrant colors and sweet patterns. My own twist is having them play instruments.

Sydney light festival, a moment of great timing, and the curiosity of a child. One of my favorite photos of all time! The vibrancy of the colours and freedom of the photo just make it so fun!

I was experimenting with water and food colouring in my DIY studio at home. I put drops of the dye into the water and then quickly focused before the dye sank to the bottom. I also used thin white plastic with a light behind it to bring up the vivid colours. After viewing this in my digital darkroom I flipped the image just for fun to give it another dimension. It sort of looks like flowers growing up out of the ground.
