One day while going through my collection of photos these two images just cried out to be worked on and combined, this is the result. Both photos are from different shoots, completely unrelated except that they were both done as experiments, and to me they just seem like such a perfect match. I love how going through older work can inspire fresh revelation. One of the reasons I hardly ever delete old photos, no matter how insignificant. Digital artwork created in Photoshop CS3 by layering several original photographs of sections of old farm equipment and a weathered painted wood wall and door with lock. Each layer was blended in a different way. Some, by exclusion, others by muliplication, and still others by overlay. Layers that did not work were deleted.

Hey all, / Below are a list of easy keyboard commands for Photoshop. I’m using a regular PC (Windows) but if you use a mac, all of the controls will be different…and because I don’t have a Mac within reach, I can’t get the commands for that. Sorry Mac users! Control + N = Opening a New Canvas / Control + O = Opening a new project from a different file (such as a photo) / Control + Z = Undo very last action; nothing past that. / Control + Alt + Z = Undo past actions; infinite. / Control + Shift + Z = Redo an action (that is, if you have already undone an action.) / Control + Shift + F = Fade… (This is a VERY useful tool that I just discovered about 2 minutes ago…For example, you draw something a little too light…do this command then you can make the brush stroke’s opacity darker! Again, VERY useful!) / Control + X = Cut / Control + C = Copy / Control + V = Paste / Control + Shift + V = Paste Into (Don’t know exactly what this does for sure yet but, apparently it’s useful?) / Control + I = Invert (makes a negative [or positive] of the image selected) / Control + A = Selects the whole canvas / Control + Shift + D = Reselects the part that was once selected, then deselected. / Control + D = Deselects the canvas / Control + – = Zoom Out / Control + + = Zoom In And there’s plenty more but these are the basic necessary keyboard commands for Photoshop. -Brittany
Just playing with butterfly images; came up with this RAINBEAU version; hope you like it!
A photo composite done in PSP with five original photographs and elements. I was trying to convey a sense of the merging of the self between light and shadow and the ultimate freedom of alchemy.

On “Gabross Zinda” the mono-track runs in a straight line around the whole planet. / Because when settled it was decided not to “clutter” the landscape with raillines, roads and highways. / So all the major cities are built on the meridian, and from there, one takes a hovercraft to whatever settlement they need to reach. It is called the “Red Line” after the deep vermillion pigment that is just below the surface, it is mercury sulfide (cinnabar). / After a time all things here turn red. This also happens to be the major trading commodity on this world in the Dune System. This was the introduction for the 2567 AA vid/movie ” Way Beyond Dune”
With the backdrop of the two moons of LaRaa, the Mother and her wayward child the strange oval satellite Geenas, we gaze on the “Sleeping Giant”. Located in the foothills of the Dark Mountains, legends say that a strange warlike being that walks upright on two legs will visit our world. When this occurs the giant will awake to do battle with these beings. But for now he lies sleeping in the foreground of the image, with his serpentine hair spread out above him. His name is Gorgonass, and he will rise…..........if you believe!
Situated on the landmass called Schriss, in the southern hemisphire of Galrond VI, this lake is composed of the purest liquid in the Andromeda Galaxy. / Every 25 years a team goes beyond the force field which surrounds it, they then take 10 samples of this pure essence. It is then taken to a secert labratory and added to non-disclosed ingredients, bottled and sold at a astronomical price on the open market. Two drops can cure any disease known, some rumours and myths say that one bottle can give immortality to the drinker. This is a very rare photo I got when I was part of a team, normally you go in wearing a tight fitting suit and nothing else. / But luckily I obtained one of the new state-of-the-art cameras developed from Borg technology. As everyone knows the basic components of the vertebrate eye are a transparent cornea, an adjustable iris, a lens for focusing, a sensitive retina lining the back of the eye, and a clear fluid- or jelly-filled center. This camera replaces the natural vertebrate, it sends its images to the biggest hard drive known, ...the human brain. / It is a complicated operation, but well worth the results, and of course highly illegal.
There are many strange things and occurences in the great void of space. / There lies on the far rim of Andromeda a great machine/entity the size of a nebula, known as the “Wheel of Time”, once a vessel as entered the iris/hub it is transported to a far place in time. / No being knows who built it or how it operates, there is no way to know if you are going back or forward in time. / Of the many adventurers who have entered only a few have returned to tell their stories. This journey is not for the faint hearted, so…..enter here who dare!! Featured in Sci Fi Group POTD at Digital Image Cafe
The sun rising in the desert after a cold night is like music, first the strings give their hint of the warmth to come, the first glow of dawn, then the brass and horns announce the coming of the sun, finally the kettle drums bring the great disc above the horizon. Then a new day is born, with all its color, warmth and splendor, the cold of night is a dim memory. Created with Artmatic and PS
