  • i bought these beautiful pencils in Plaza Dorrego, Buenos Aires.

  • Colored pencil illustration of a maple leaf, beautifully drawn in the burnt oranges of autumn, a beautiful reminder of the Fall season for lovers of nature, or a great gift for Canada Day!

  • This is an original piece I created, it took many countless hours to create. ...then right before it was finished my dog, Zoe (Jack Russell Terrier) snatched it from my art table and ate part of the corner!!! I was devastated at first, thinking of all of the hours and work I put into the initial sketch and then into the rendering and creation. Then a revelation hit me, I simply cut out the area (under the dragons mouth) and mounted my artwork to another piece of illustration paper, re-created that area and voila! It actually gave the piece an interesting look, depth and life, which ironically is the meaning of the name Zoe. / My (since passed) dog had a LOT of life in her and now that life passed on the my dragon. Thus the name Zoe or Life Dragon. Enjoy! Some Originals Available, If Interested Please Inquire. You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

  • 8×10 Colored Pencil , Acrylic and Coffee

  • There was a bit of experimentation going on in this one for me. Watercolor, charcoal, colored pencil, pencil, marker, ink, and a wonderful photo of my not so handsome face were used to pull this thing together. Quite surprisingly, I don’t hate it. I know, I know…me not hating something that I’ve done is no doubt the first sign of the coming apocalypse. I’m sorry that a pathetic self portrait by a nobody you’ve never met had to bring forth armageddon, but I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Or I suppose the way the earth crumbles…as the case may be.

  • Sixth in my “Perpetual Motion” Numberism series. Somewhere she has a list of things to do filled with words like “bill”, “late” and “memo”, but for now she doesn’t care. She knows this feeling. It has something to do with freedom. The sun is warm on her face. She gets back to business, trying to make a bigger bubble. These drawings are drawn entirely with the numbers 1 -12, marking the hours of the clock. Reference Photo

  • When commenting on one of my floral images once, Andrea Verstegen commented:”And it’s not a romantic, sugary sweet floral version either, which is why I like it.” I liked that comment and decided to do a macho flower, where the petals were held together by screws and rivets, etc. Catherine Walker will be pleased to know that this is 100% imaginative. I used to do imaginative work many moons ago and then stopped. After chatting with my Redbubble friend Catherine and seeing her lovely imaginative work I decided to start doing the occasional imaginative image … it’s fun to do and even more fun when I’m not sure how it’s going to end up. I used Staedtler fineliners for this and coloured pencils of course. It has four levels, which is my way of trying to depict depth. The blue level shows traces of my love of Celtic art, as shown in this old drawing of mine from 1983:

  • Prismacolor pencil on paper. Featured: / Texas – 8/20/09 / 60’s Glory – 9/6/09 / ‘Real’ Life Artwork – 9/18/09 This was my ‘Rodeo Art’ my senior year in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It was Best of Show in district and got me a scholarship to the Western Art Academy (The Museum of Western Art at Kerrville, TX), a three-week long workshop for 24 students from the greater Houston area chosen for their Rodeo Art and portfolios. I met this guy at the Rockin’ R steakhouse in Blanco, Texas, while I was eating dinner with my family. By the way, if you ever go through there, you have to eat there. The fillet will be the best thing you’ve ever eaten, guaranteed (especially if you get it black n’ blue)... and that’s really saying something because I don’t even really like meat. YUM. Anyways, I had told my family I was concerned because I didn’t know what to draw for Rodeo Art… and then we saw this guy walk in along with another sheriff. My grandma suggested I go meet him and ask to take his picture… and I did. We had a print made for him and my grandparents met him and his wife for dinner (at the Rockin’ R, of course), so they’ve kept in touch a little bit. Sadly, I can’t remember his name… I’ll have to ask next time I see them.
