This image is metaphorical because it is actually Mouse, the horse, who pulled me out of the ashes renewed. She was a gift from my husband for my fiftieth birthday. It was a time when I was struggling to find direction in my life as well as my art. This dapple gray beauty renewed me and inspired me and has helped me to grow as a person as well as an artist.

Another Clydie. There were about a dozen of them in this paddock in Mansfield and I used a roll or two of film on them. By now you would’ve guessed my love of horses! This was a commission of a true gentleman, a Warmblood. He was only a small one apparently for a warmblood, about 16hh! The people who commissioned this had others and they were bigger. / Colour pencil and white gouache on grey mount board. Size – 45cm x 60cm. Has been featured in ‘Equine Art and Photography’ group.

A commission I did some time ago as a raffle prize. Wildon Impressive, ‘Imp’, for short, is a lovely Arabian pony stallion. He sure did show off for me on photo day, prancing around, giving me lovely photos to work from.
