  • Disclaimer: this is NOT a political message… if I would want to make one, I would be far more direct and explicit… this is a simple play with semantics. I intend to use art as an expression of political views, but not at this time, nor this venue. I lived in a communist regime for more than 30 years, so I know it inside out… yet, have no hate, nor regrets, just understanding of my journey as a free man in a not-so-free-world… but then again, who’s to say what freedom is… until you don’t have it… / /

  • I’ve bought six new IKEA glasses but one of them got broken when I washed it for the first time. Of course, I wouldn’t just throw it away, as well as my daughter couldn’t throw away a Camellia blossom she has found fallen at the ground two days later… / I believe these two imperfect subjects made a perfect combination. What do you think?

  • Inspiration sometimes comes when you least expect it. Paul Jackson’s “Fascination” watercolor inspiration occurred when the artist was unpacking boxes of drinking glasses on his counter. The result; an intense rainbow of colored glass in a one-of-a-kind painting. “Fascination” was completed in 2007 and is a huge 60” X 40”.

  • Simmondsia vitra is closely related to the Jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis), pronounced “ho-HO-bah”. Jojoba is native to the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of Arizona, California, and Mexico.
