Rising between the picturesque waters of Lake Monona and Lake Mendota, the majestic granite structure of the Madison State Capitol building in Wisconsin, glows like a beacon, accenting the Madison skyline. This is an HDR image, actually a re-work since the original was the first HDR image I ever created. I have learned a few things since then, hope you like it. Background Information: / Monument Valley is located on the southern border of Utah with northern Arizona (around 36°59′N, 110°6′W). The valley lies within the range of the Navajo Nation Reservation, and is accessible from U.S. Highway 163. The Navajo name for the valley is Tsé Bii’ Ndzisgaii (Valley of the Rocks). / The area is part of the Colorado Plateau. The floor is largely Cutler Red siltstone or its sand deposited by the meandering rivers that carved the valley. The valley’s vivid red color comes from iron oxide exposed in the weathered siltstone. The darker, blue-gray rocks in the valley get their color from manganese oxide. / Monument Valley has been featured in many forms of media since the 1930s. Appearances include movies, such as Westerns by Director John Ford, and science fiction movies such as Back to the Future III; television appearances as in MacGyver; as well as DVD covers, book covers, and video games such as the Playstation 3 video game Motorstorm. source: wikipedia The Watchman / Moraine Lake / Banff National Park, Moraine Lake / Bryce Canyon National Park, The Lonely Tree / Purden Lake / Sunset in Tofino / Bryce Canyon National Park / Grand National Park, Hazy View /

This is one of my favorite little places in NW Arkansas, its peaceful and quiet from the sounds of man that is. The forest is alive with the songs of the birds, and the animals that scurry throughout the forest. and of woodpeckers that sound like a jack hammer echoing throughout the woods. Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

It is located in Flatwoods, Kentucky, in Greenup County, which lies in the northeastern part of the bluegrass state. Many of my relatives live in or just outside of Flatwoods, and my Dad built this one. / / The scenery from this road is almost surreal, it is so beautiful. Surrounding this road are country farms, barns and old churches. This road winds around a gorgeous mountain cloaked with a variety of lush trees and evergreens, whose leaves are radiant in the Fall of the year with brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red, brown and green. / / At the top of the mountain is the end of this magnificent road, which leads to a private, gated mansion that overlooks the entire county. It is very quiet and peaceful there, and everything, including time, seems to stand still on this beautiful road. It is a breath-taking view from the very top, and this is truly my favorite country road!.. / / / To read and learn more about this special country road, / go to:COUNTRY ROAD

Husky …... The Siberian Husky is a medium-size, dense-coat working dog breed that originated in eastern Siberia. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly-furred double coat, sickle tail, erect triangular ears and distinctive markings. Huskies are an active, energetic and resilient breed whose ancestors came from the extremely cold and harsh environment of the Siberian Arctic and were bred by the Chukchi of Northeastern Asia, it was imported into Alaska during the Nome Gold Rush and spread from there into the United States and, initially as a sled dog. It rapidly acquired the status of a family pet and a show-dog. Eyes: A “copper”-coloured Siberian Husky with heterochromia, a trait which is unusual in most dogs, but not uncommon among Siberian Huskies. The eyes of a Siberian Husky are dark blue, light blue, amber or brown. In some individual dogs, one eye may be brown and the other blue or one or both eyes may be “parti-colored,” that is, half brown and half blue. All of these eye color combinations are considered to be acceptable by the American Kennel Club, which also states that the eyes are “an almond shape, moderately spaced and set slightly obliquely.”

This is one of two beautiful entrances to a Tucson, Arizona senior housing complex located in Barrio Viejo that honors Lalo Guerrero, a famous Tucson musician.
