  • multicolored autumn leaves

  • This shot was taken at the parade in my town last year for the 4th of July. These guys were so serious, and as they got closer one of the men spied my little girl waving and shouting “HI”, he managed to crack a smile… even a wink. All the selective coloring and orton effect was done in PS elements. Thank you for viewing my work!!! If you like what you see here, have a peek at the rest of my work. • The dawn colours start to change as the clouds roll in over Shorncliffe Pier.

  • We’re standing on Beacon’s Rock looking across the Blue Ridge Parkway to one of Grandfather Mountain’s many rock promontories in the distance. The fall colors painting the slopes seem to accentuate the experience that is this mountain, rendering the invisible real and palpable in the senses. The mountain’s back is rugged and difficult to trek but none of this is apparent now. When I look again, it’s like I can feel the warmth of the evening hearth radiating in the story just now told by that old man father who lives in our heart’s dreams, like we’re the child again that we never remember being, perched lightly on his ancient knee, our eyes alight in the wonder of his words, and swept away in the security of his presence. Each time I go back I feel him a little more, arising out of subtlety as a feeling almost missed. It’s a practiced appreciation borne out of many visits that I hope to share thru this image. Let your heart’s eyes drift from that rocky snout in the foreground up the slope to its gentle peak. It can be as the journey of a lifetime, spanning that short distance from the head to the heart where magnificence is known(continued with The Grandfather 2) . / _ / ©Miles A Moody LivingEarth-Hearthealing.com.
