  • It is possible to “program” and train our habits and behaviours in a way that is comparable to a computer. Note the subtle neuroscience references in the circuitry; / +12W: 12 Watts, the amount of energy constantly generated by the human brain (enough to keep a flashlight glowing); / -70mV: -70 millivolts, the resting membrane potential of a neuron; / Letters represent the lobes (areas) of the cerebral cortex, i.e., F = frontal, P = parietal, T – temporal, O – occipital, SS – somatosensory, PM – primary motor, SM – secondary motor.

  • Girl getting lifted into the air by a butterfly on a string.

  • Live your life with superhero style

  • This one is pretty self-explanatory

  • Two grotesquely obese and sweaty men grappling with each others rolls of fat… what could be more of a turn on?

  • In the stars His handiwork I see, / On the wind He speaks with majesty. / Though He ruleth over land and sea, / What is that to me? / I will celebrate Nativity, / For it has a place in history, / Sure, He came to set His people free, / What is that to me? Till by faith I met Him face to face, / And I felt the wonder of His grace, / Then I knew that He was more / Than just a God who didn’t care, / That lived away out there / and ….. / Now He walks beside me day by day, / Ever watching o’er me lest I stray, / Helping me to find that narrow way, / He is everything to me. Words and music by Ralph Carmichael

  • Pull over and rest a while. Don’t let the stress of your daily life and bumper to bumper traffic get you down. Stop and hang around a while. Explore my banks for something missed by the hosts of those rushing by. They give but a glance and often miss my beauty. Let the rushing today, be my waters as they babble on their way. Let my waters and wind be a song in your ears. Hear the quaking of my leaves as they rustle above you. Close your eyes and let me envelop you. See you feel better already ain’t you glad you decided to hang around awhile…..Little River from the side of Little River Road, Great Smoky Mountain N.P. • While pausing beside the Little River in the Smoky Mountains I noticed this foam swirling around a rock in the stream. Sometimes in our daily live we get caught up in the rush and flow of life and end up just going in circles with no escape. Don’t get swirled away, take time daily to stop and reflect on your life. Take time for just you, if it’s only for a few moments. You mind works best when its not spinning in circles, stop and let it refresh itself on something pleasant and enjoyable….Image taken from the Little River Raod, GSMNP Camera: Canon 40D… Lens: Canon 24-105 f/4…. / Focal Length: 24mm… Manual… / Shutter Speed: 2.6s… F/Stop: f/22.6… / ISO: 100… Tripod: Bogen…… Bias 0.0EV… / Filters:B+W Polarizer… Cable Release… … / Format:RAW

  • I picked some of my personal favourite images here on RB and placed them in this calendar. :) I did not try to match up images to months.

  • Each year comes, stays with us for some time with its flutter of events and then goes away. Almost like a butterfly…
