  • Recently we did a test shoot for two really funny and crazy guys who also happen to make music together, Jase and Tom after their manager aeris saw my stuff on RedBubble and decided I am shit hot at what I do. (I’m working on the modesty bit, I swear.) Anyway they really really didn’t want to do a photo shoot in a smelly, public, and damp mens’ toilet so naturally I nagged at them until they relented. Then the first thing their manager said upon viewing this image was “That one’s for RedBubble!” So here it is.

I recently received a comment on this photo in flickr from someone who has taken a more recent shot of the blue girl. This is what she looks like now / This little alleyway is popular with local graffiti artists, and regularly goes through updates so I’m sure this visage is no longer quite the same now! I’d love to transport myself back there now and see what stands in its place. / Modifications with Gimp.

  • Another shot from the Melbourne GPO Building, this one from under the archways that surround the centre. Original image slightly cropped, with minor adjustment of colour to enhance mood of photo. • Another one of Melbourne’s many laneways. Soon as I took this, i was reminded of life in the late 70’s / early 80s by the building at the end of the lane. Using texture layering and colour altering in photoshop, I was able to take the photo back in time, to an old jacket pocket, where it had been left, crumpled and forgotten for decades. As usual, all my endeavors to find the right texture for this took place in the wee hours of the night. Finally finishing it at 2am. Featured on the Home Page / Featured in Layered With Texture / Featured in Cityscapes & City Skylines Texture from www.deviantart.com stock Canon EOS 50D / 58mm, 18 – 55 MCN: C5C9B-02313-0C981 More Laneway work:

  • Inspired directly from all the horror movies I’ve ever watched. You’re on the run from whatever it is chasing you this time. You fine a phone, run to it in hope but lo and behold, it’s disconnected. You turn to keep running, but the thing you have been running from is there, and you run right into it.. That was your last life line. Goodbye. This was taken in the underpass between Degraves Street and Flinders Street Station, Melbourne. The entire underpass is trapped in an art deco time warp. Light pink tiles on rounded walls, window box displays, metal sign work, and this in particular. Curving into a small alcove where a telephone must have once stood. Original shot, layered twice. Colour altering and fading on original, darkening on layer. Texture added from www.deviantart.com stock. Featured in Australia! You’re Standing In It / Featured in Architectural Details / Featured in Dimensions Canon 50D / 58mm, 18 – 55 / f5, 1/60, ISO 800 All editing and processing completed 11.30pm MCN: C2BXG-TS6DX-T83SH

  • Another one in my lane way series. This was taken in Brunswick, Melbourne. Just around the corner from Rendez-vouz. I layered the original shot 4 times, adjusting the hue to different ranges and increasing the brightness in all, added noise and a faint layer of texture. Featured in Cityscapes & City Skylines / Featured in If It Doesn’t Belong / Featured in Tunnel Vision Canon 50D / 18 – 55, 58mm / f3.5, 1/3, ISO 1600 Captured 10pm MCN: C449W-DLR6K-P486E More laneway work:
