I love the fall season the crisp air the cool autumn breeze. Things are changing all around you.
Our red eyed tree frog enveloped by a beautiful purple lily.
Just a little something I put together earlier last year. I have this in my living room at 24×36 and it looks rather nice if I do say so myself … LOL
based upon Goethes color theory, the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, yin-yang dichotomy, the poetry and symbolism of the German Poet Novalis and the forces of light and dark, this became the spiritual embodyment of my major works. within this painting you can see all my thoughts on the world. / of all my works this would be the most dear to me. exerpt from my major works. “Foundation Of Stone, Color Polarity & The Blue Lotus.” “At first there was nothingness until the forces of dark awoke and began creating form. The forces of darkness are calm cool and caring, it brings to us the ability to weigh up all options and consider things carefully. / Into this cool, and slowly forming space, light burst forth full of energy and life. / The light forces bounced around and awoke the sleeping space and allowed it to come alive and to move, to charge forward full of purpose and confidence. / The two forces met and began to meld and repel each other. Push and pull, attack and withdraw, the combination of energy caused the colours to appear from the ensuing chaos. / The colours brought about a cushioning and stabilising balance to the two forces, and allowed different options for the first time. Each colour has different traits that correspond to a great many things, and it is through these colours that we develop who we are and what our personality is like. / The creation of the colours brought stability to the universe and gave space for things to grow. This force of creation and growth became the third force in the universe. / This third element became associated with the symbolism of a blue flower or blue lotus. / The blue flower and the third element give an example of growth in perfect balance, tailor made for each individual. It echoes the different stages of personal awareness. / When we look for inspiration or a higher plane of thought. We should feel what our own blue flower is like and embrace it for then, with inclusion and acknowledgement of all these forces we can become harmonious and closer to true, natural, balance and perfection; Perfection in the world, perfection in the mind and within the soul.” not the best photo of it but it will do, theres no way i can get it into a scanner!
A fractal created using one of my recently discovered bubble variations. If you’re interested in recreating this type of bubble on apophysis, I made a tutorial for it. Its found here – http://nightmares06.deviantart.com/art/Bubble-Variation-Tutorial-89801629 and was very fun to make!

Lily of the valley
An emblem of French kings (and the Boy Scouts), a symbol notable for the diversity of association attached to it, ranging from purity to fecundity, prosperity and glory. The heraldic fleur-de-lis is a stylized lily with three flowers (more like a bearded iris). / The origin of the emblem is from the legend that a lily was given to Clovis, king of Franks, on his baptism, symbolizing purity. The device was chosen as the emblem of the French king in the 12th century, and the plethora of lilies on the field was reduced to just three by Charles V in honour of the trinity. / The lily also had ancient associations with fecundity, and versions of the fleur-de-lis appear in earlier Etruscan, Indian and Egyptian iconography, apparently with rebirth and solar symbolism. The central flower is often given an arrow or spear shape, suggesting military power, as well as masculine vigor. IRIS

This image is from a set entitled “Droplet Refractions” submitted for a photography course assignment. A stargazer lily refracted in water droplets on a white rose petal. I had to combine several shots with very slight focus variations in photoshop to get enough depth of field in the droplets. Canon 400D, 50mm lens, extension tubes. 1.6 s at f11

This bouquet spells summer for me. All the dahlias are heirlooms and are reliably available from only one source in commerce at present: Old House Gardens in Ann Arbor, MI. These beauties include ‘Princess de Suede’, ‘Kaiser Wilhelm’, and ‘Old Gold’, and mix happily with the wonderful, genuine article, Lily ‘White Henryi’, also from Old House. If not for this bulb company’s admirable mission to preserve historic flower bulbs, many antique plant treasures would no longer be found in the marketplace and might never find a home in your garden. Cooling things down just a bit in this photograph is the classic of summertime, a bigleaf hydrangea.
