Oh man… It took me forever to get this one to the point where I would submit it here to RedBubble, haha. Anyway, it’s loosely based off of a tattoo design I drew up a while back. I was wanting “Strong and Courageous” in Latin across the banner, but the translators I found online came up with “Validus quod Fortis” which means “Mighty and Strong.” But it works well enough for me ;) Hope you guys like it!

IT WAS SO COLD AND TOURISTS HAD NO WHERE TO GO BUT USING THE WOODEN PLATFORM WALKWAYS. IT WAS REALLY SURREAL. THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN THE AFTERNOON WHEN ALOT OF THE TOURISTS HAD GONE. /

Watercolor, gouache and pencil on board, / 11×14 / 2009 Model: Kambriel One of my latest passions is the symbolism of the peacock, and how it has been associated to immortality and renewal. His feathers were used as talismans and protection against evil spirits. In the Eastern traditions it has been seen as symbols of wisdom, benevolence, compassion and kind-heartedness. The “eye” in the peacock feather is associated to the pineal gland, making of it a sacred symbol. Through the development of the pineal gland one can awake the Kundalini and achieve understanding of the spiritual world.

Chefchaouen, Northern Morocco / Canon 400D My boyfriend Unai (who is a basque photojournalist) and I were working together there for a few days two months ago :) It’s a magical blue paradise hidden between mountains!!! Children accompanied us throughout an afternoon, they felt a lot of curiosity about digital photography (this is a small village and the only one photo store there is an analog one). Timidly at first and very naturally later, they asked us many things about it. Best Viewed Larger This beautiful road is one of my favorite parts of the drive to our cabin in Pennsylvania. To the right is Chappell Field, a part of Blue Knob State Park on the extension of Pavia Road (4035), and is frequently the site of fairs and concerts and happy picnickers. Over my shoulder and between the trees is a magnificent view of the valley which I’ve tried to capture over and over again … one of these days I’ll get it right. Image taken on October 11, 2009 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. UV and CP filters attached. Shutter 1/320, f/9.0, exp. 0.00, iso 1600. Post processing work included hdr in Photomatix from a single hand-held image at +/- 2 created in Photoshop. Other tweakings included deletion of a hideous flat white cloud, area filled with blue and addition of fluffy clouds (thank you Obsidian Dawn for the cloud brushes) in Photoshop, plus the addition of two textures … thank you to Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art.
