Cat and dog swept in a blanket in a homeless woman’s babytrolley. I asked her for a portrait, but she wasn’t very keen on it – so she let me photograph her little friends instead
La Rue Obscure is the oldest street in the old town of Villefranche sur Mer on the French Riviera, between Nice and Monaco. It was built on virgin soil at the beginning of the 13th century. La Rue Obscure formed the basis of the rest of the town’s construction on the slopes rising from this coastal lane. It gave inhabitants of the town certain refuge against possible attacks. The ship captains who were forced by storms to anchor in the bay, could make necessary repairs in safety. La Rue Obscure also welcomed precious merchandise, such as wine, in its cellars.

This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. As always I can not say often enough how wonderful the Redbubble community is and how happy I am to have found it during it’s infancy so that I may grow along with it into a more complete and accomplished artist! / / / / Portfolio Areas / / Tigers / Wildlife / Macro / Landscape / Birds / Abstracts / Cats~wild and domestic
Heaps of cats, heaps of colour…I lost count when painting these…they are also around the sides…at least 70 of them!
They are amazing creatures. This one was showing off its mating colours. / ( Veiled Chameleon)
Limited Edition I will only be selling ten of these prints, after which it will only be available as a greetings card, poster or a postcard. It took some time to get this right but Stage Scorpion was such a good model we nailed it in the end. My most popular image for lovers of legs, feet and heels. Terry / www.frissonart.com
I’ve got something with eye’s and flowers, as you will notice when I upload more work. This one is, clearly, inspired by the Tarot card with the same name. It’s a 100% watercolour painting. I wanted to join up with a surrealism group here, but I’m not sure if this would fit in there. I always call it surrealism, but isn’t it more somewhere on the borderline between surrealism and fantasy art? With this I’ve introduced the 3 main areas of my artistic endeavors on to RB: still life photography, travel photography and watercolor paintings. I’m calling it a day. / Cheers detail at 100% / more work / I would also like to focus your attention on RosaCobos incredibly beautiful and inspirational comment on this painting: / I can see that he sees…. / I can feel that he is there waiting to open the egg of his own destiny. / But The Foold has not a destiny and he knows it! / The Eye…. peeing wide and wild the intensity of Life, / hidden behing the feminity of the flower..is tender and penetrating, / but not as much as he would love.. / noone takes him seriously, / excepting the wise.. / for you know. that famous quote…”The Fool that persists in his foolishness…..becomes wise”…....just I ponder about it.. and how come the wise can notice this…if his own wisedom makes him disregard such a vanity? the card /
19 February, 2008 It all started with a TV screen shot. I got then inspired to start a series of compositions called The colours of love. This artwork is the first in this series. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it. —- A very dear RB friend of mine surprised me beautifully about a year ago and bought a canvas print of The colours of Love – Mother and child. How do you think I feel when I think this composition is on a wall in Australia? / Crushed. Humbled. Ecstatic. And then crushed again. / / —- 28-13-1302 - 09-11-15 / 35-17-1379 - 09-11-20

This will be the last origami piece I post before heading off to Rome; and I will unlikely be doing anymore while I’m in school. I’m not fooling around; I made these ducks before in the first version of “3cm Family Swim” as shown above; and remember I said I may redo that shot at some point? I’ll still keep the other one up though. In this coloured version I coloured the water and sky and placed a transparent ruler over the water. This one has one less duckling than the previous one (I laid off the little guy who wouldn’t raise his bum :P) Every duck was folded from trace paper; mommy duck was folded from a 15×15mm piece, the middle one was 6×6mm, and the little one at the back 5×5mm. Seriously, i need a model, a free one, that is cool and likes to do whatever I want to create…. / Also I wish my hair was that long, it was pretty close once upon a time. I was thinking about Dreams today (the life goals kinda dreams), i thought about the way its called a dream and thought about my interpretation of its meaning. / A dream (of the mind as you rest) is this strange crazy event and you are just so lost in the whole thing, everything that happens makes no sense, but you pretend it does so well that your pretending turns to believing quite instantly. It always starts of fairly simple, but then shit happens, more shit happens and more and more shit happens, until you completely forget how you got to where you are and what the purpose of whatever it is you are doing is, then you wake up, and you either forget the whole thing and go back to living life, or you remember it as just some crazy event and you have no idea what was going through your mind at the time and then you go back to living life and all the while nothing really ever happened. / A dream (the goal kinda dream) is the same thing, you think of a dream, then you go through some shit, forget what the hell you are doing and get completely lost and all the other stuff that i said for the sleep dream, then at some stage you have woken up and are just back to living life, its just some event that happened that you are slowly forgetting over time. / I think thats why its called a dream…..... We can still hope it comes true though, especially this one… . Self Nikon D90 18-200mm Featured in / Hairstyles / Young enthusiasts
I took this from a bus, while traveling between Madrid and Valencia, in Spain. I have no idea what this little village is called, but it was like something out of a movie. We past several of these on the 6 hour bus trip across the country. Spain has some spectacular scenery and quaint villages that almost seem trapped in time. Layered the original image twice, adjusted contrast and tone slightly. Added a texture layer from www.deviantart.com free use stock. Layered the texture several times over, adjusting the constrast, saturation and lightness on each to vary the colour and tone. This is my antique phone, given to me for my birthday about 9 years ago. It actually rings, not the electronic style, but the real bell ring, more like a fire alarm. Ahh summer has arrived early for some of us this year. After a day at the beach last weekend, I was able to get that good old feeling back that only summer can bring! These kids were playing around at the beach, and I couldn’t help but be reminded of a time in life when going to the beach, making a sand castle, digging a hole to fill when tide comes in, finding something living a rock and burying someone in sand were the best things you could ever do. Life’s simple pleasures. I live for a sunny day.
