Will Messer Barn was built around 1900 was moved from the Little Cataloochee and restored on its present spot in 1977.This was done to better preserve it and because the forest had reclaimed the site it was on.It is typical of most outbuildings once in this area,except for the roof design which was a little more elaborate. It is located on The NC side of the Smoky Mountains in the Cataloochee area. As far as restored buildings from the early years Cataloochee is second only to Cades Cove.
