Frost is the solid deposition of water vapor from saturated air. It is formed when solid surfaces are cooled to below the dew point of the adjacent air. Frost crystal’s size differ depending on time and water vapor available. Frost is also usually translucent in appearance. There are many types of frost, such as radiation and window frost. Frost causes economic damage when it destroys plants or hanging fruits. Road surfaces can also be damaged through a process known as frost heaving. source: wikipedia

I went out yesterday..gee it was getting cold and windy…while driving out in the country ,on a road which i have only seen in the summer…looks very different in this season…the scene look good to me….
I came across this one lone corn stock standing tall in a field of fallen comrades. Defiant even after the combine struck, it continues to stand tall even as winter envelops it…. Processed as a HDR it would make a beautiful card or picture to hang on any wall. Best viewed at full size! Photographer / Robert Berry / Nikon D80 18-135 mm Nikkor Lense

Beauty emerges in the spring as the snow melts on Parnix Prime.
There is an ever changing beauty here in the mountains of Colorado. I don’t believe that there’s anything in the world that can compare. The other day when I put up the capture Emerald Mountain, I said that next week the colors would probably peak here in Steamboat. Well, Mother Nature has fooled all of us. A cold front moved in yesterday with rain and winds and this is the result. We even had snow! Yes, snow! This morning the ski mountains were covered with about an inch or less of snow, but trust me, we could see it down here in town. And talk about cold, wow, it’s a whopping 46 degrees here in the “Boat” on the last day of summer, and just about an hour ago, it was hailing! Makes you wonder what the official beginning of fall will bring. If this is an indication, we’ll probably have a couple of feet by Halloween. LOL / / /
