This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before he realized he wasn’t interested in tulips. “Seabird In Flight” is about the form of a bird’s airborne movement in relationship with the harmonious contours of the overall landscape. The bird itself becomes a natural part of the world that it resides in. . . In “Sun Lover” I’ve tried to recreate the female form in motion as realistically as possible – eliminating all evidence of any brush strokes so as to make her skin look more natural and realistic. / The horizon line of the ocean is the only incidental detail of the beach, and is barely visible so as not to detract from the main focus of woman. / And no, I didn’t use an airbrush… Oil on Board – No Airbrushing 58 X 36 inches / 147 X 92 cm Original : / $2500 AU – excluding p&p from Melbourne, Australia / contact my Agents at Gallery 112 / ............................................................................................

This is a motion shot. No editing was done other than basic RAW file conversion. It was shot at a slow shutter speed, with circular movement to the camera to create the effect of implied motion. / The subjects are strawberry plants in late fall. And yes, this is their color and they remain this color right now (picture taken at beginning of December for a photography class assignment on Implied Movement). / The effect was designed to mimic the leaves blowing in the wind (with a slow shutter speed of course). / Camera: Canon EOS 1D M3, Lens: Canon Lens EF 24-105 IS USM / Aperture: f/22, 1.5s -1 EV / ISO 50, Focal length 105

This is the actual shape of the canvas This is where the entire shape of the canvas itself becomes an integral part of the overall theme. The canvas is tapered to give the illusion that the top of the canvas is leaning back and the bottom is protruding forward towards the viewer. / The blue represents both the waves of the ocean and the point where the horizon line of the ocean and sky meet. / The seagull itself is reduced down to its barest essential shape and color. With one wing up and one wing down representing the seagull’s constant wing movement as it seems to hover above the seascape. Oil on Stretched Canvas – No Airbrushing 67 bottom X 31 top X 61 height inches / 170 bottom X 79 top X 92 height cm Original : / $3000 AU – excluding p&p from Melbourne, Australia / contact my Agents at Gallery 112 / .......................................................................................
