Taken in October of 2006 from the Middle Fork of the Flathead River looking into Glacier NP. It was a perfect day. I hope to repeat it a few times this year.
This is a motion shot. No editing was done other than basic RAW file conversion. It was shot at a slow shutter speed, with circular movement to the camera to create the effect of implied motion. / The subjects are strawberry plants in late fall. And yes, this is their color and they remain this color right now (picture taken at beginning of December for a photography class assignment on Implied Movement). / The effect was designed to mimic the leaves blowing in the wind (with a slow shutter speed of course). / Camera: Canon EOS 1D M3, Lens: Canon Lens EF 24-105 IS USM / Aperture: f/22, 1.5s -1 EV / ISO 50, Focal length 105

This is another photograph in my series of leaf abstracts. This was taken at the end of Autumn when the streets were filled with countless fallen leaves of various shapes and colors. I enhanced the colors to highlight the beauty and diversity of the end of one season and the beginning of Winter. Using my Macro lens, the vibrant colors looked like an enchanted garden, another magnificent show of nature’s magic. To get the full effect, / please view this image in the large format.
This was a fun one for me to do. I started off with the traditional pastels on a brown mat board, but it didnt feel right. I wanted to try something different, so I started again using acrylic paint and finishing with pastels. An effect I really like :) / Acrylic paint and soft pastels on mat board. 29×54cm. 2008. Sold at exhibition….the first time it was shown! 2008 Featured in ‘Painters in Modern Times’ group.
