Not much to say here as it’s pretty self-explanatory. A kid and a duck. That’s about it. After I finished this one my wife said that it looks a bit like the kid has the “crazy eyes.” I didn’t really notice anything while I was drawing it, but I think maybe she has a point.
Peacocks are large, colorful pheasants (typically blue and green) known for their iridescent tails. These tail feathers, or coverts, spread out in a distinctive train that is more than 60 percent of the bird’s total body length and boast colorful “eye” markings of blue, gold, red, and other hues. The large train is used in mating rituals and courtship displays. It can be arched into a magnificent fan that reaches across the bird’s back and touches the ground on either side. Females are believed to choose their mates according to the size, color, and quality of these outrageous feather trains. Peafowl are omnivorous and eat plant parts, flower petals, seed heads, insects and other arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians.

This is a shot of a pen/duster I have. Just a fun piece. I liked the color and texture so I thought I would see how it would turn out.

Lion And fairy friend travel through a surreal landscape…
This macaw’s owner had a booth at the 400 flea market just outside of Barrie, Ontario CANADA. He kindly agreed that I could take a few shots of her and told me her name which is Marigold. / This type of macaw is known as the Blue-and-yellow macaw. / Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens / “It can reach 76-86 cm (29.9-33.9 inches) long and weigh 900 to 1300 g (2-3 lbs). It is vivid in appearance with blue wings and tail, dark blue chin, golden under parts and a green forehead. Its beak is black, and very strong for crushing nuts. The naked face is white, turning pink in excited birds, and lined with small black feathers. Blue-and-yellow Macaws are popular as pets partly because of their striking appearance and ability as a talking bird. It has been documented that a Macaw’s facial feathers are unique as a human fingerprint. The majority of macaws are now endangered in the wild. ” ~ Wikipedia
