Funny how something so ordinary, can be so interesting. Captured on my way out of the Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, in Colonial Williamsburg. One of the oldest Episcopal churches in the United States, Bruton has been serving members since 1715. Famous past worshipers include presidents Washington, Tyler, Monroe and Jefferson. The Colonial Drive In Theatre was once found along Route 51 South of Pittsburgh. I was there for a follow up visit in August 07 and it looked as if the Theatre’s days were numbered. There were signs up advertising a new housing development to be located on the site. Another piece of history gone…

The Hampden Suspension Bridge is an historical landmark and is the only surviving suspension bridge in New South Wales that was built during the Australian colonial days. The Hampden Bridge is 77 metres long and was built in the year 1897, and named after Lord Hampden, who was the Governor of NSW from 1895 to 1899. The Hampden Bridge straddles the Kangaroo River with the Kangaroo Valley village nestled beside it. After viewing the display of Juanita (a mummified child sacrifice discovered in the crater of a volcano) at Arequipa’s Museo Santury, I found these steps just off the main courtyard. The museo is housed in an old colonial building in the central region near the plaza de armas, in Arequipa, Perú.

A large percentage of the world’s honeybees have been MIA lately. Nobody knows for sure what the causes are, and we are just beginning to grasp what the effects in long term may be, but I am absolutely certain of one thing – this can’t be good news for Winnie The Pooh! This was my first project for my Digital Illustration class with David Hylton. Pen & Ink drawing, scanned into Photoshop, then colored in using different textures from photographs. Turned out to be a pretty big hit among my peers :)
