  • My dad asked me to paint seagulls on his painting, because he liked the bird I painted in the past. / Animals / Birds / Drawings / Flowers / Water / Holiday / Paintings / Sunsets / Autumn

  • A Blue Version is posted on my DeviantART accout... Enjoy!

  • This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

  • I did this for a JPGmag.com photo challenge and the more I stare at the more I like it…. I could never think of a good title so if you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me. I put the egg on some Plexiglas and placed it outside, then set my white balance to tungsten for the bluish tone. It was an odd experiment…. haha

  • Cool picture. Literally … Winter 2007 / 2008: China had its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad has seen its first snow in all recorded history. North America had the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on. It’s cold outside, so lets light up the fireplace to stay warm and snuggly and watch some movies. Frozen road construction signal in Munich, Germany, / late December 2007 / / Laminated Print /

  • It’s stinking hot here today, humid and sweltering…...so here’s a shot from New Zealand’s Franz Joseph Glacier to help cool things down a little Canon 5D, 16-35mm at 16mm, f/11, 1/50”, ISO 50. • Many different textures, photos, filters, combined, concocted, stirred.. et voilà :) winter is about to leave; slowly the colours change, from cold blue hues to warmer yellowish, golden ones.

  • The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors. Winner of Tulips in Vases challenge (I know – how many people have those photos or flowers hanging around, ready to pop into a challenge, eh?) Actually, I’m truly appreciative. And nice of someone to post it on the homepage, too. Pacific Northwest Art featured May 30, 2009 – Thank you! # Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you! • Another image from Yellowstone National Park , Wyoming, on our holiday from last Autumn. (2008) / West Thumb Geyser basin is on the shores of Yellowstone Lake, and is a kaleidoscope of colours, like Mother Nature went crazy with Photoshop !! Boardwalks go in various directions, and it is a hard choice, which way shall I go ??!! I chose to ‘follow the light’ / and Mother Nature gave me a helping hand with a sky straight from my dreams ! / I hope you enjoy this one ! Shot on my Canon EOS 40D, hand held, polarising filter, f11, 1/60sec, auto wb, RAW file processed in CS3, levels/curves/selective colour etc. FEATURED IN…....... / http://www.redbubble.com/groups/focus-and-lighting / AND / http://www.redbubble.com/groups/streams-brooks-creeks SEE MORE OF MY USA SET HERE… >

  • It’s the first day of winter in Canada, and though we have no snow here in Toronto, Ontario, just north of us it is very deep and very cold…it’s unusual that in the city there is none….I’m not complaining, I love that it’s still fairly warm and dry, so this painting is from remembered first days in the past...a few samples from the Winter series can be seen below Watermedia on Arches Paper “On the first day of winter, / the earth awakens to the cold touch of itself. / Snow knows no other recourse except / this falling, this sudden letting go / over the small gnomed bushes, all the emptying trees. / Snow puts beauty back into the withered and malnourished, / into the death-wish of nature and the deliberate way / winter insists on nothing less than deference. / waiting all its life, snow says, “Let me cover you” Laura Lush, The First Day of Winter / Grateful / The Sentinels / Winter’s Light / Birchwood / Effet de Neige
