  • A HDR image of Lake Dillon, CO from the East side at sunset. It had snowed all the week before and the lake was iced over, reflecting the sunset beautifully.

  • The dark colors in this shot kept reminding me of Gotham City and how it always seemed dark and colorless there. Taken in the exact same place as Hanging By a Moment, a bush right outside my front door.

  • Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. • This untouched macro image of tiny icicles forming on a rosehip was taken with a Pentax K10D. The edges of the icicles had begun to melt in the afternoon sunshine but were soon to freeze up again, as the warmth of the sun hasn´t got a lot of strength here yet and frost was already rising when this shot was taken. / The fact that water can take on so many beautiful, fragile and delicate forms and can adorn whole landscapes, transforming them into works of natural magic, never ceases to amaze us. This is the main wondrous fact that makes our long, often very rainy and grey, winter bearable. Eifel region, January 2009, on a beautiful winter sunset. / As is, untouched work! / / /

  • On the drive home from Barnard Castle today I stopped at the side of the road and walked down the field to photograph the old disused Langleydale railway viaduct in the snow (as you do!). As I was returning to the car – I spotted the two rickety gates silhouetted against the snow and the winter sunset. The bird is a little added extra – a photoshop brush kind courtesy of WyckedBrush of Deviant Art. /
