  • Patagonia is home to many impressive glaciers. The melt water glaciers is often a bright blue colour, and is truely something to behold. This is from the Argantinian side of the border in Patagonia, closer to the town of El Calafarte

  • This was taken on a frosty mid-winters morning. The original is composed of 5 individual images stitched together to make a final image of about 2000×7000 pixels. This is a sister photograph to a horizontal panorama taken from the same location just minutes later : ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

  • Yep, another photo collage, This one’s from the same balcanoy i took Mini-Mt-Buller-Series #1 from. • LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS SHOT

  • Taken April 14, 2006 with a Fuji E-510 (as shown in the reflection :P). I took this while I was on top of Sulfer Mountain in Banff National Park (Banff, Alberta, Canada) during the winter. There was a little cabin, and it’s interior can be seen inside my reflection in the window. Meanwhile the outdoor activity outside the cabin is reflected around my body. Looking back at this it sorta reminds me of the painting by Edouard Manet “A Bar at the Folies-Bergere” where the world the bar tendor is looking down on is reflected in the mirror behind her. Although not intended, many stories can be interpreted from this; and whatever that maybe, I’ll leave that up to the viewer :) This work has been featured in: / Weekly Them Challenges Actually it’s a funny story; I entered my work into that group to enter it into the Cameras challenge, and it was approved only after the voting had already started. Seeing as this particular group approves work based on the challenges it’s a bit strange that happened. Well I decided to let that go; it wasn’t a big deal. But two days after the challenge closed this work got featured among with the top ten :o)

  • This January morning started out with sub-zero temperatures and frozen fog. By afternoon when this shot was taken, the skies were clearing. This view of a typical butte is about 2 miles outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. • Welcome to my winter office, yes I’m one of those that gets to work outside doing something that he loves (skiiing). On a good day, this is a taste of thev view you can get, on a bad day, let’s just say that you don’t want to be out there but I am. / Taken on Whistler mountain looking down and across towards Blackcomb. / Cheers

  • At about 30 feet, 200mm (with a Canon 70-200 zoom), F 2.8, ISO 400, 1/400 sec. / I was concerned that it wouldn’t enlarge as well as it did. Got him in a field of wild flowers and weeds in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Actually in the valley near Cold Mountain—of movie fame.

  • From Sligachan, when the river was on the point of freezing, and the colour of steel. / There were some lovely glints of reflected light on the water, where I was standing in deep shadow, so I shot for HDR, knowing that would bring out the best detail in the water, and the colours. / VIEW LARGE FOR DETAIL !!! Canon EOS50D, tripod, iso 100, cloudy wb, f23, / A three shot HDR, RAW files processed in Photomatix, then titivated up in PS CS3, selective colour, a bit of “multiply” in a duplicate layer, reduce opacity, then a touch of Orton…. by duplicating my image, applying Orton, then layering on top of the original until the desired effect was achieved, then flattened. This makes the colours POP ! MORE SEASONAL IMAGES HERE… / / /
