  • Taken on Mt.Higginbotham at Mt.Hotham the cloud had just thinned enough toward the sun enough to allow a soft but distinct shadow to be cast by the snowgum onto the fresh snow. ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

  • This photo was taken looking Due west from Mt.Higginbotham at Mt.Hotham resort just as a storm was coming in. Fresh snow had recently fallen so it was a real winter wonderland! / / This shot was taken not far from, and about 30 minutes before this panorama . / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature

  • I took this picture on the steepest island of the world…La Palma (canarian islands). Although it’s the steepest island of the world it’s very rare that it’s snowy on top of the biggest vulcanic mountain. / It was a lucky week so I drove all the way up to the “Roche De Los Muchachos”>>> / (3000 metres high). Shortly before I reached the top a little cave caught my attention. / I went inside and discovered beautiful, thick icicles. The energy there was incredible….it felt pure….above the clouds…elements. check what the product looks like here thank you for stopping by!

  • A crisp Autumn Morning dawns over an alpine lake as a cold mist rises from the still waters and is illuminated by the light of a new Day.

  • I went to the lake very early in the morning ,it was pretty cold but it was worth it ,it looks like the trees were in fire.Oh! NO SATURATION ,this was exactly that color. With saturation we would see some blue tint and we don’t .I could’nt beleive it myself. / I often go to that local city parc on foggy morning. / PANASONIC FZ20 / 55.6 MM-—-1/60 SEC-—-F 2.8-——ISO 100 / Maxhamish(who’s no longer in RB bought a small frame print 4 months ago. / Weberwanjek,a bubbler, bought a mounted print the 11/09/08

  • Just before the storm came in and sent us scurrying down the mountain for cover.

  • A HDR image of Lake Dillon, CO from the East side at sunset. It had snowed all the week before and the lake was iced over, reflecting the sunset beautifully.

  • In July 2007 I did my first ever snow shoe walk from Falls Creek out past Pretty Valley to Tawonga Huts and the Niggerheads then over Mt Fainter and down to Bogong Village. The downhills aren’t as fun as my crossies but the uphill and flats are a dream much easier manoeuvrability for photography too. Great trip had some good weather (the following day was a whiteout). Love the way f22 on my fisheye lens creates this sunburst effect, doesn’t work very well with a dark foreground but with this highly reflective snow it’s a winner. Just after I completed this trip I got a phone call from someone who had heard about an exhibition I did earlier in the year and who had specifically wanted a picture of the Victorian Alps, they ended up buying a 12”x30” framed print of this one. • X=pro info: Picture build by the orton-technique. and added blue layer and some blur.

  • A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

  • Early this morning I decided to drive about an hour into the Blue Mountains to go for a bit of bushwalking and to check out the lookouts around the Wentworth Falls area. / However the weather was terrible, with it basically being a whiteout with visibility down to about 20m and constant drizzling rain, so not the best weather for lookouts and photography! / I decided to head over to King’s Tableland and have a look at McMahon’s Lookout which is down the end of a 20km dirt track, however half way down the road I decided to capture the view in front of me which consisted of the road and trees disappearing into the thick mist. / I will have to head back up on a clearer day! / Photo taken with barely any post processing, just exposure, black point and levels.. / Thanks for having a look, as always comments and critiquing are most welcome..
