  • Well, I’m back from the farm….almost froze it was so bloody cold (OK, not as cold as in some parts of the world, Simon, but I was bloody cold!! lol) Of course the first image I post has to be IR, so here it is. Filter almost froze to the lens, but I had to get this in infrared. Camera: Canon EOS 450D / Filter: R72 / ISO 400 / f/4.5 / Focal Length: 18mm / Exposure: 25sec / Tripod and frozen fingers and toes. And no, it wasn’t snowing, the grass was green, it just goes white with the ir filter.

  • When I was out in this field shooting the sunrise, I thought to myself, if only everyone could fall in love with nature, there would be no room for war and hatred in the world. As I was running around over the saturated grass, with saturated shoes, I forgot all my troubles as this magical moment happened. We were on our way to the Bunya Mountains National Park. When I returned to the car, reality kicked in, I had saturated shoes, and no spare ones!! It must have looked funny, socks jammed in the rear windows, and the shoes wedged in the roof racks to dry… Scotch Thistle, in a cattle field, just outside Kilcoy, Queensland, Australia. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available, and best viewed LARGE!

  • When I set up for this shot, I had the Eagles song of this title name pop straight into my head. I thought to myself, this is what I will name this shot. I could not hear a thing, there was not even birds chirping, no breeze, it was silence. I think I could easily get addicted to shooting in the early morning! :) Shot on the outskirts of Kilcoy, Queensland, Australia. Shot about 30 minutes after dawn. Canon 50D, 22mm, 16:9 crop. Available, and best viewed LARGE!
