  • This frozen waterfall was such an inspiring sight… / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

  • Early this morning I decided to drive about an hour into the Blue Mountains to go for a bit of bushwalking and to check out the lookouts around the Wentworth Falls area. / However the weather was terrible, with it basically being a whiteout with visibility down to about 20m and constant drizzling rain, so not the best weather for lookouts and photography! / I decided to head over to King’s Tableland and have a look at McMahon’s Lookout which is down the end of a 20km dirt track, however half way down the road I decided to capture the view in front of me which consisted of the road and trees disappearing into the thick mist. / I will have to head back up on a clearer day! / Photo taken with barely any post processing, just exposure, black point and levels.. / Thanks for having a look, as always comments and critiquing are most welcome.. Best Viewed LARGE EXIF Data / Date: 21/04/2008 / Time: 10:40am / Aperture: f/11 / Shutter: 0.05sec (1/20) / ISO: 200 / Focal Length: 26mm

  • Another photo of that same pier as the one IKEA is selling on my behalf, just from a different angle. If i may say so…i think this one´s alot better than the one they picked. :-P Thanks for stopping by! Andreas Stridsberg © / www.mystic-pic.com

  • Equipment used: / Nikon D70s / Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC / B&W 62mm Circular Polarisation Location: / Athabasca Falls, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada Map: / Road Map , Terrain , Satellite Copyright: / © Brendan Schoon , All rights reserved. Background Information: / This picture is taken near Athabasca Falls . Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park is just 23 metres high. However, it is not known for its height. Instead it is known for the force of the falling water due to the quantity of water flowing. Even on a cold morning in the fall, copious amounts of water flow over the falls. A layer of hard quartzite has allowed the falls to cut into the softer limestone below carving the short gorge and a number of potholes. White water rafting often starts below the falls to travel downstream on the Athabasca River to Jasper, Alberta. It is a class 5 waterfall, with a drop of 80 ft (24 m) and a width of 60 ft (18 m). Athabasca Falls / Pointing Rock / Moraine Lake / Sunset in Tofino / Purden Lake /

  • Tiny dandelion seeds against a colorful paper… Enjoy!

  • Taken this morning in thick fog just outside of the small town of Cashion Oklahoma. Used a surface blur and quad colors in CS3. Thanks for Looking = )

  • An image with a message in it for me at least. I hope you enjoy. A trio of cottonwood leaves frzone into the ice along the Yakima River. One gold, 2 orange, one pointed West and 2 pointed North. A lesson in diversity of color and direction from nature. There is beauty in all!

  • Simply water droplets and the patterns they make… This is condensation on a water bottle, I used my macro lens for this one and the background was my computer screen. :D Enjoy!

  • I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW
