Two chickens out for an afternoon stroll in winter, near Kelso, Borders I seem to recall this was my first attempt at selective colouring (but am willing to be corrected by RBers with a good memory (or, who need to get out more)). This is perhaps my most favourite shot because it has caused so many other people to smile and add comments. Thank you all. I hope it continues to bring joy to many more.

This cockerel was actually in a children’s zoo @ The Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay, North Wales (Well worth a visit if you’re in the area BTW) He kept crowing and moving around. It took me quite a few shots to capture him fully in frame in mid-crow… I was quite pleased with the sharpness and character of this shot – What do you think?

This is a neighbour’s cockerel. They always make me laugh, the way they strut about and cluck…

This lovely cokerel was happy to strut his stuff for my camera. It was a lovely spring day and he was very content with the world.
