2006 Acrylic on Canvas 30×40” “La Cocina” is from Latina Series During my Illustrator days and as a Graphic Artist, Designer I illustrated so many brochures, covers, menues, and printed and signage graphics. They were always fun to do, but had to be done, always on deadlines, usually the next day, as any commerical advertising artist can tell you, its sharpen your artistic skills and makes you aware of the role an artist plays in the scheme of things, and makes you very prolific. / Adveritisng Art was very good to me, as a Freelance Artist, illustrator, art director, and creative director for many different firms, including my own, I was very fortunate to learn my craft on the job, Believe me it wasn’t easy, but it was alot of fun learning and earning, and of course I always painted for my self which became extra booty (cash).
