  • Have you ever gazed out at something and been startled by the realisation that you’re the only person seeing the world in exactly this perspective at this instant of time? This was such a dream-like view to find whilst climbing up the ridge alongside Orama near sunset. Barbeque Bay is in the lower right of the photo and Little Barrier Island is in the very far distance covered in low clouds. Great Barrier Island, New Zealand. I was too excited to be scared, but I was very careful!!! :o) / Portland Head Lighthouse, Portland, Maine USA / Hope you like it and thanks for looking! Take care, Linda / I did lighten it up a bit in ps. / / /

  • Heavy clouds gathering over a lonely Apostle near Gibsons Steps (Port Campbell Victoria) These giant limestone stacks are the remainders of what was once the rugged Victorian coastline, which eroded due to continuous sea waves and wind over thousands of years. This chain of limestone stacks was originally called ‘Sow and the Piglets’ with the Muttonbird Island near Loch Ard Gorge being the sow. The Twelve Apostles was officially adopted as its name in 1950s even though there have never been distinctively identifiable 12 limestone stacks. With the collapse of one Apostle in 2005, only 8 Apostles remained at the moment.

  • A absolutely beautiful morning along the coast of Cape Elizabeth Maine. The Portland Head light keeping things in order and the sun warming the crisp air. October in Maine…awesome! / Nikon D90 Dynamic Photo HDR / / /
