I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!

This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

Maluaka is a place on Maui where there is a comforting daily cloud cover reaching out from the high slopes of Mt. Haleakala and extending toward the island of Kaho’olawe . Without this protective cloud, the scorching equatorial sun would be relentless. I noticed this sunset beginning to happen, and I grabbed my gear and sprinted to the rocky Maluaka coastline just in time to make a nice capture.

Ward Beach, Marlborough, South Island New Zealand at sunrise Nikon D200 with 17-55mm f2.8 nikon lens with tripod standing on the limestone rock formations, waited for about half an hour for the right wave to create the pattern without crashing over the rocks and disturbing the tripod, I got very wet trying to get this photo (not that that is unusual, I always seem to end up getting wet in my pursuit of interesting images) I hope you like the photo. The first line of defence is the offshore reefs. / Then next are these offshore rocky islets to take the oomph out of what is left. / This day the most impressive explosions were from the ones not quite big enough to break on the offshore reef ,and therefore they marched into these rocky outcrops still bearing their full force and power that had driven them across a thousand miles of Southern Ocean. / West Point, Marrawah / NW Tasmania.
