Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. The castle is located in what was once the very volatile border area between England and Scotland. Not only did the English and Scots fight, but the area was frequently attacked by Vikings. The castle was built in 1550, around the time that Lindisfarne Priory went out of use, and stones from the priory were used as building material. It is very small by the usual standards, and was more of a fort. The castle sits on the highest point of the island, a whin stone hill called Beblowe. It can be located in Northumberland,on Holy Island. England.

This shot was taken on our local beach at around 7:30am. I like this shot in particular because at this time of morning people all around the world pack into trains, cars, trams, buses etc and here is this girl and her horse reclaiming that little bit of freedom most of us crave.

Dunstanburgh Castle / Dunstanburgh Castle lies on a spectacular headland on the coast of Northumberland in northern England, between the villages of Craster and Embleton / Dunstanburgh castle is the largest in Northumberland and the site shows traces of much earlier occupation before the erection of the castle was started in 1313 by Earl Thomas of Lancaster. The castle is now owned by the National Trust and in the care of English Heritage. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade I listed building. A seagull soars over seastacks on the north California coast near Crescent City. I turn off the television and walk through heat waves to eat sweets from the freezer, light cigarettes, blow kisses to shadows, feel along the floor for lost treasure and end up, once again, slapping color on canvas. / I see in my head a shape and wonder where it comes from. Is this a dream, a memory, a longing, a sudden flash from subliminal visions, a past live, a sign of the future or just the mad rambling of my hands letting something flow flow flow. / I remember the first time I saw the California coastline and it was like a dream. A foggy cold day in November and figures appeared as if they were waiting for me. I wondered if that was what death was like. / I remember an image of DNA on television. I can’t quite grasp how they illustrate something like that. I remember singing once in church when I was about ten years old and I thought the organ music was energy from God. I remember seeing seasides and always knowing that I belonged in the water, was part of the water, would return to the ocean waves on time that has no time that has no shape that has everything. Washing up onto a shore. Washing away sins. Washing over naked flesh and sweeping away clothing and washing overboard the dreams as well as the struggles. Washing over sand that glistens and hills that shine in the sun that drifts lazily from mountain to valley bringing darkness. And then light. And then shadow. / Continuing. Even when it evaporates. Ward Beach, Marlborough, South Island New Zealand at sunrise Nikon D200 with 17-55mm f2.8 nikon lens with tripod standing on the limestone rock formations, waited for about half an hour for the right wave to create the pattern without crashing over the rocks and disturbing the tripod, I got very wet trying to get this photo (not that that is unusual, I always seem to end up getting wet in my pursuit of interesting images) I hope you like the photo. During Our summer family holiday during the month of August in Cornwall, my family and I met up with redbubbler and friends Rob Parsons and his good lady Jean who showed around some of the beautiful spots where they lived, this was shot on the way up from the village of Boscastle on the Cornish coast towards the headlands, we were in for a fabulous sunset, this was shot during that golden hour. / Shot with a Nikon D300 and Sigma 10-20mm lens /
