Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. Land’s End, Norway. The white “dot” in the tidal pool is actually the moon reflection. Much more visible on a large sized print.

I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!

This image was made along Morecambe’s promanade one evening, just before sunset. Im amazed to see so many variations of light over the bay, every night is different. Ive found taking pictures along the bay in any weather can give good results, with grey and over cast pervect for black and white. I love my work to be saturated with colour. This evening, i found that colour :) Thanks for taking the time to look. Stevie

This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

Beautiful dawn light at Wembury on the South Devon coast. The multi-coloured lichen covered slices of bedrock jutting out of the sea at an acute angle in the forground give clues to the geological composition of this Special Area of Conservation. This is the first in a new series of images that I am working on. They are all ultra-long expsosure images taken of the coastline before dawn. The water is totally blurred due to the long exposure and you are left with ghostly images of rocks emerging from a kind of ghostly mist. The images were converted with a sepia split-tone.
