This is stunning Hanson Bay on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, Australia. This was taken in summer on a perfect day and is probably my favourite beach on Kangaroo Island. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and a 18-55mm lens.

BEST VIEWED LARGER My neighbourhood, my sunrise, my inspiration. / Newport Beach I awoke looked out the window to see a glint of colour. Will i get out of bed , or roll over and go back to sleep ? Guess what decision won? Newport Beach is one of the many beaches, north of the city within a short drive. Everyone goes to Bondi that is crowded. Why not head north to pristine beaches, no crowds, and watch the sun rise and set. A good seafood meal, some chilled chardonnay or a beer. Sorry northern hemisphere bubblers it’s officially Summer downunder, so we have to put up with mornings like this for the next few months. Yes I know it’s hard but somebody has to do it ! Large canvas painting of a beach sunset in acrylic. Painted for a friend’s birthday. I have already painted a similar painting in watercolour. I am pleased with this version. I love sunsets and sunrises with the warm colours, as does my dear friend and here’s hoping she will like this special gift when she opens it on her birthday on Boxing Day!
