Early morning shoot at Wainuiomata Beach, the end of the world, not quite but the next stop is the south pole, wind that will slice your ears off and sand/gravel that will sand bast your car, not a place to swim. image taken on a Nikon D700 with a Tamron 17-35mm lens. I took a trip up to Lancelin about a 1.5 hours North of Perth, Famous for it’s large sand dunes, And is a popular destination for offroaders, And a good place to go sand boarding. This shot was taken just before sunset. Taken with my 5DMkII and 24-105 f/4 IS L lens, f/8.0, ISO 100, And Polarising Filter. These two seastacks just south of Haystack rock are known as the “Haystack Needles.” This picture was taken just as the sun dipped beneath the horizon. As the tide retreated and left a thin layer of water, I was able to capture this reflection in the beach. Cannon Beach, a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States, is an tourist resort destination, popular in Pacific Northwest located on highway 101. In 1846, a cannon from the US Navy schooner Shark washed ashore just north of Arch Cape, a few miles to the south of Elk Creek, the current Cannon Beach. The schooner was wrecked while attempting to cross the Columbia Bar, also known as the “Graveyard of the Pacific” because of the danger of the bar. The beach was renamed “Cannon Beach.”

One caught a few months back, and one of my favorites of the day, but for some reason I overlooked it. Was the first day I purchased my new Wide Angle lens for the 5D Mk II, full frame. I ended up buying the 16-35mm f2.8 L II, and she is a beauty! All I need now if the time to get out and capture more of the beautiful mother nature at work :) The wreck of the “SS Dicky”, at Dicky Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. She isn’t looking so good these days, as the sea rips away at the remains every tide. Canon 5D Mk II, 16mm. Available very large and best viewed Large!
