  • As the dawn breaks and the bombers leave the protective darkness of the night, “Crossing the Coast” is one of the most welcome intercom messages that returning bomber crews can hear after hours flying over enemy territory. / “Crossing the Coast” was inspired by a previous commission I’d painted called “Skipper, we are on fire!” These most feared words were quoted to me by John ‘Jock’ Morrison. / An ex-Sergeant wireless operator, he now lives in County Durham and returned to Norway in 2000, to collect his flying helmet from the grandchildren of the family who had looked after him and his fellow crewmen, when they crashed their Halifax bomber in Norway after depth charging the Tirpitz in April 1942. You may have read about his Norwegian visit in the newspapers. / “Crossing the Coast Skipper” has been used to illustrate the front cover of Tony Eaton’s book “Two Friends, Two Different Hells.” The story of two school-friend’s different wars. / Acrylic on canvas board 18×24 inches approx. • This shot was taken in The Water Run on the Coastal Walk in Royal NP just south of Sydney Australia. It was a wild and stormy evening and the sun just started to emerge from the clouds behind me as it was setting. The blue tint to the water comes for a very short period around sunset – you can just see it in any moving water at this time in the right light but the camera really picks it up. • Santa Marta, Colombia ! Walking along the beach, I had to improvise a bit without my tripod ! / Anyway this inconvenient gives me the chance sometimes to take pictures I wouldn’t probably take ! - Please alsp view… / / . / / .

My husband loves to feed the birds, and other critters along the coast line. I took shots of him feeding the birds, and I love to take shots of sunsets over the coast. The west coast sunsets are some of the best. I turned it BW and love it best in BW. He loves to stop at sunset for a break so I can shoot, early morning and sunset are my favorite times to shoot.

  • It was blowing a gale while taking these photos, there was lighting strikes to the far right of the picture, but I wasn’ able to capture any. I didn’t think any of these would turn out any good considering the conditions, so it was a nice suprise to come away with some nice shots. not long after this was taken it started to rain and the people fishing and myself made a mad dash for our cars. all in all a fun afternoon.

  • Gerroa is an idyllic village at the Kiama end of Seven Mile Beach on the south coast of New South Wales … their sunset on Tuesday (6 January 08) was aided by smoke haze from bushfires in the Morton National Forest. After a day in which temperatures reached 40 degrees celsius and beyond, there were plenty of relaxed holiday-makers still enjoying the ambience, the breeze and the spectacular skies. • This image of my wife and daughter was the only print in history to score a perfect “100” score from all juges at the “PPof O” and “PPof A” print competition. The print was also slected to be displayed in the International Traveling Loan Collection, the “Epcot Center” and “The International Professional Photographers Hall of Fame” exhibit. I can vividly remember hyper ventalating and almost passing out when I saw the print scores being displayed during judging. The highlight of my photography career.
