6 Galleries on the GC have joined forces to bring new works by Australian artists from around the country to the GC, northern NSW, Brisbane and national audiences here for the holidays. / The two day festivities kick off on Friday night with exhibition openings and cocktail parties, with artist talks, exhibition previews and the launch of one of Australia’s oldest running art prizes – the Stan and Maureen Duke Gold Coast Art Prize taking place Saturday evening at Gold Coast City Art Gallery. / Sunday afternoon we will all get together to discuss the importance of the Gold Coast art scene, the high profile artists which have emerged nationally and internationally from their humble beginnings on the GC and the weekend will be wrapped up with prize giving to the dedicated art crawlers who visit each venue.
