This shot was taken at Noosa National Park. As the sun was setting the light to the North was just so dramatic and colourful…I couldn’t resist
A nice Golden Retriever family on a Pacific coast beach, somewhere in Oregon.
I venerate old age… and I love not the man who can look without emotion upon the sunset of life… when the dusk of evening begins to gather over the watery eye… and the shadows of twilight grow broader and deeper upon the understanding…. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
This untouched shot of Haystack Rock, famous in Oregon and widely photographed, is a great place to just enjoy a fabulous sunset, camera in hand or not! This was taken with a Canon XT and a 18-55. However, when on the Oregon coast you can often count on wind and rain. Featured in SEA / Featured in Mornings and Evenings / Featured in Live Love Dream / Featured in Color and Light
Taken at the dock in Port Orford, Oregon looking west at The Port Orford Heads. (Nikon D200 with 18-70mm f/3.5 lens @ 18mm, f/8, 1/800th)
The world turns to gold as the morning sun crests the coastal mountains on the southern Oregon coast, scattering sunbeams through the mist above the sandy beach, shore rocks, and the mighty Pacific. Nikon D700 w/ 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens @ 29mm. f/10.0, 1/400th, ISO200

Sunset at Bandon’s famous beach. Southern Oregon Coast Nikon D700 w/ 50 mm f/1.8 lens @ f/10.0, 1/400th, ISO 200
Sunrise over the beach at Battle Rock Park in Port Orford, Oregon Large format.
While climbing up the wet, steep rock slope in dim light might not be very smart, I still love the view from on top of Battle Rock, especially for sunrise. The waves were large and were breaking quite far offshore, making long expanses of foamy whitewater to catch the morning light. Nikon D700 w/20 mm f/2.8D Lens @ f/9.0. 1/ 320th, ISO 400
For millions of years the sun rises and the sun sets. Still, after seeing sunsets for hundreds of times, we are still touched. There is little to compare with its brilliance. It catches us until the last of the twilights is gone into the night. / / Framed Print /

These are the lights of the marina in the quaint little village of Ucluelet, BC. Ucluelet is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. We were only there for a short weekend stay but was quite impressed what the area had to offer. Long Beach and Tofino was as equally beautiful, lots of tourist and things to do. Great resorts and very friendly atmosphere. Loved our stay and hope to return again soon, hopefully in the summer coming! I also would like to mention a thank you to the owner of our workplace in Port Hardy for giving us this great getaway weekend, for doing a good job at our jobs!! :) / /
