  • This is a photo of the sea barrier at the wharf in St. Phillips, Newfoundland. The salt water from the ocean has rusted the bolts and caused this array of rainbow colors to stain the wood. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

This scenic pic is a combination of shots. A composite of four shots. All shots were taken in northern California with my Canon Rebel XT, EOS. My husband loves to feed the birds, and other critters along the coast line. I took shots of him feeding the birds, and I love to take shots of sunsets over the coast. The west coast sunsets are some of the best. I turned it BW and love it best in BW. He loves to stop at sunset for a break so I can shoot, early morning and sunset are my favorite times to shoot.

  • This berg was as big as a house! We were bobbing around in a little lifeboat so we could be close to these and get some photos. Our main ship, the Skorpios III, although happy to plough through ice flows would not venture closer than 1 kilometre to the glacier face. The glacier in the background is the Pope Pio XI, the largest glacier (I think) in South America. Southern Patagonia, Chile.

  • This is for Mike, one of the weather guys on the Cocos Islands. Everyday we would ask him what the forecast was, and everyday he would reply “Mostly fine, chance of a shower”! I guess this was the “chance of a shower” bit! Mike is a great guy with lots of wonderful stories from his time spent living all around Australia. • As the unpredictable and unrelenting waves crash in from the coast at sunset, I photographed this just before getting absolutely saturated…for the second time. / It was well worth it to see and experience the power of the ocean, even though it was a long trip home in wet clothes. / This was shot at 10mm. I couldn’t find any other way to shoot this without being part of the ocean, hence the wet drive home :-) I appreciate you taking time to view my work, and I really enjoy reading your comments. / Thanks for visiting :-) Photograph Details / Canon 40D w/ EF-S 10-22mm / Focal length: 10mm / ISO: 100 / Shutter: 0.8 sec / Aperture: f/8 / Filters: ND Grad / Flinders Coast, Victoria Collaboration / Please check out Erika’s poem, Rushing Rivers which goes so well with my photo.

  • Taken at Cape Schanck, Victoria. Lawrence Norton (also on Redbubble) and I decided to head down to the cape for a sunrise shoot a few weeks back, and wouldn’t you know it, it was overcast! Not exactly what we had hoped for. But Lawrence in all his optimism, declared “The heavens WILL open up for us!” And sure enough it did, albeit just a little. We’re looking forward to seeing a lot more of these cold, windy, stormy mornings as winter approaches! Shot with a Nikon D200, 12-24mm lens @ 15mm, F/11, ISO 100, polarizer, tripod, cable release. 7 shot HDR plus 2 extra single shot tone mapped images. Merged/mapped in Photomatix, overall blending/levels/saturation/etc in Photoshop. BEST VIEWED LARGER
