This shot was taken at the Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, CO. The most amazing electrical storm came through. It was quite a ways in the distance. The cloud coverage was interesting which sat low over our heads. Lightning flashed about every three seconds. It was truly spectacular. It never rained where I was standing. Noise Reduction software applied due to the high ISO setting. I put the camera on a tripod and kept clicking. The pool house was in the foreground and Cheyenne Mountain in the background.

This is a shot of a cargo vessel heading out from the mouth of the River Shannon across Ballybunion Bay in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The shot was taken with a telephoto lens from Knockanore Mountain (really a large hill) some two miles from shore as the préachán flies. / /

Featured in Dilapidated Buildings 25th November, 2008. This church in Doon, Ballybunion closed it’s doors to its congregation a few short years after the new, St John’s, church opened in the town centre on 1st August, 1897. The parish could not afford to keep two churches going. / Doon church is used these days as a storage building for farm equipment.

Taken today 27th Decmeber 2008 A stunning series of waterfalls located off the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. North wales, England Swallow Falls I set the camera on a tripod and experimented with the shutter speed, I used a high density filter x4 that I bought from ebay, the filter lowers the light similar to a polerizing filter, this ment I can open the shutter for longer periods of time and the image will not be too bright. panasonic dcm fx18 / focal length 15.4mm / 2.5 seconds shutter / f 8.0 / ISO 100 / HD x 4 filter / black and white
