To better VIEW THIS PHOTO select option VIEW LARGER / Try it you might like what you see-it makes lots of difference CLOWN FACE ACORN WOODPECKER (nickname CLOWN)I photographed in SEDONA desert…..arizona …I spoted this woodpecker flying from rock to rock not from tree to tree and i quickly set up my tripod…but he was gone…i waited and nothing happen….well i went after my business…next morning i decided to go see again to the spot where i spoted him day before…and sure enough they were there few of them…well i set my camera again and here we go ….he started clowning with me and posed just right… / The Acorn Woodpecker is easily identifiable by their clown-like faces…........... They also show a conspicuous white rump and white wing patches when they are in flight…In the fall, when the acorns mature, acorn woodpeckers can be seen pounding holes in tree trunks and placing acorns into the holes for storing their winter meals…................................. Many pine trees in arizona neck of the woods are riddled with these little holes that the woodpeckers use year after year causing no harm to the trees…............... Folk Devils and Moral Panics / This is artwork I have just completed for one-man-music-show Onemancabal / I just wanted to share this piece because I am so very proud of it, I put my heart and soul into this work – and I think when you listen to the music you’ll agree it suits. The idea for this piece was to create a long artwork that would be divided into the various parts of the CD packaging – so the far left is the cover, with the middle section on the inside front cover and the inlay, and the far right is the back of the CD. My intention was to have just a few characters coming onto the front and back of the case, to entice people to open it up and be blown away by the intricate illustration inside. Like a reward for buying the CD! We wanted to have innocent looking characters with a slightly sinister edge to them – reflecting the music (which has some beautiful folky, traditional sounds but isn’t all it seems). It was a great blend of my two distinctive styles and I am absolutely in love with it! / I’ll be posting details and credits on my website soon – and perhaps some snap shots of how it all came together…enjoy! P.S This is only a demo CD, so fingers crossed Onemancabal gets signed and we can all buy his beautiful music…
