I was stopped by the police while taking this picture; though it’s not the first time I go shooting in this area, but seems that a f*ing politician was scheduled to pass by there and people should stop their hobbies and lives for that reason. And as you can see in the corner of the pic 3 young fishermen that were stopped as well and taken in the police car for the same reason as well; but because I refused myself to go with them so I had some argues with the policemen which took my papers and got pulled for around 2 hours. / I am really disgusted with the way we have been treated here; they make you feel guilty of a CRIME you never committed AND that didn’t exist at the first place. This is the one and only shot that I could take from that DAY.

Took this shot while at Cheakamus Lake near Whistler (which is part of Garibaldi Provincial park here in BC) this last Tuesday during our hike to this lovely Emerald colored lake which was about a 6 hours round trip from where we park our car. As you can tell, it’s raining with lots of low mountain clouds making for a bit of a grey day but on our way out the sun was starting to poke out and almost made an appearance at the end of the day. / Canon Xt, Sigma 17-35 mm lens, / HDR out of Photomatix / Iso 400 and bracketed from -1.2/3, 0 and 1.2/3 / Experimenting with HDR as I’m new and seeing what works best.
