The day summer arrived and it got stinking hot. This shot was taken at 5am and not a cloud in sight. The days temperature climbed up to 40.2°C in Brisbane. Summer is over is just over a week. This morning was certainly what I would expect in winter, crisp, vibrant and cloudless. Keep it coming…love it
This is a depiction of a very common Texas butterfly….the Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly (Phoebis sennae) and this particular one is a male… These butterflies are everywhere during the late spring, summer, and early fall around my house. I have been trying to find the perfect portrait of this yellow beauty…and I dont know if I found the “perfect” one…but I did finally take one that I am satisfied with. Normally these butterflies are very timid and skittish and wont stay still for too long…especially when a human with a really large shadow comes their way. Today however it started to cool off….which worked in my favor..because all of these little guys were moving slow and just sitting in the sunshine eating and warming up….which gave me a great opportunity to take as many pictures as they would sit still for… Thank you Suni
I took this photo at Cypress Bend in western Louisiana.

“Giant Cloudless Sulfur” – Colombia is home to over 4000 species of known butterflies. There are so many that it is difficult to tell them apart sometimes. This is quite a large butterfly as noted in comparison to the fly located on the top left hand corner of its wing. Found this one in the Botanical Gardens that I frequent. Still trying to identify it. / /

This is one of the extremely satisfying results. this was also taken in a graveyard, you think u can tell it’s a graveyard without me having to tell you that? feel free to leave an answer in the comment section.
