  • Storm clouds drift past after rain, and this charming stone cottage in the Southern Flinders Ranges is bathed in sunlight ,gleaming crisply on a bed of bright green pasture land / Taken with Fuji S2 Pro,Nikor 24-85mm @85mm Limited Edition 1 of 20

  • More from the Lightscapes Set Gorgeous morning at a car boot. I got distracted by this and walked off a bit to take this at 5.30am on a cold winters morning.

  • After shooting the early light of the morning down at Cape Schanck I thought I’d take a quick shot of the sun light reflecting off the large boulders in this little cove. I love the warm colours and shapes of wet boulders in the sun. If you ever go down to this place when the tied is high and the weather a little on the wild side, the massive waves that come crashing in to this little space throw these boulders around making an awesome rumbling sound. A must see if you live close enough to the Mornington Peninsula.

  • Taken at Norah Head, two hours north of Sydney on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Beautiful little place =) the lighthouse there is too cute.

I can still remember my very first camera that my parents had given to me when I was about 8 years old. I took that camera everywhere and snapped shots of anything and everything, however it wasn’t until much later in life that I was really bitten by the photography bug. I was planning a big move to the Canadian Rockies and thought now is the perfect time to buy my new camera gear for shooting wildlife. I bought all the equipment I needed that would put me up close with all the wildlife that the mountains had to offer. So off I went chasing Bears, Bighorn sheep, Moose, Elk and Wolves… pretty much any critter I could capture with my lens. It was a fascinating and thrilling experience. Then fate brought to me a girl and she would change my life forever… Newfoundland is where I now call home, with my beautiful wife and baby son. This province is a photographer’s paradise. The scenes change from day to day and the opportunities for capturing them are endless. With my camera in tow I now begin my journey through Newfoundland, photographing and capturing her raw and rugged beauty to share with the world. I hope you enjoy the photographs presented here. The rugged and treacherous coastlines give way only to the unforgiving North Atlantic Ocean. It is a coastline marked with lighthouses that act as ever watching sentinels to welcome weary travellers home. It is a land of beautiful & quaint coastal towns, villages and cities. Newfoundland is a land visited by frozen giants from the North that create a sense of awe when seen by human eyes as they float down what is known as “Iceberg alley”. It is a land visited by massive whales during the summer that attract multitudes to the shorelines. It is a land rich in history and folklore and it is a land inhabited by a people who will welcome you with open arms. It is a land you need to visit… Newfoundland… In Living Color, captures the raw and rugged beauty of a landscape still yet untouched and marred by man’s corrupt hand. It is a tribute to a true Eden and its people that dwell there. / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / SOME OF MY FAVS / click on the image to link to that image / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

  • Happy New Year everyone! This shot was taken at the Sunshine Coast just before Christmas 2007….well it’s an old shot isn’t it. Taken with my Canon 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM Lens. No Filter has been used but I did some fake HDR processing (single shot) using Dynamic Photo HDR. It’s a fun program and a great alternative to Photomatix.

  • As one of the most iconic images of Scotland, Eilean Donan is recognised all around the world. Situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet, and surrounded by some majestic scenery, it is little wonder that the castle is now one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish highlands. Although first inhabited around the 6th century, the first fortified castle was built in the mid 13th century and stood guard over the lands of Kintail. Since then, at least four different versions of the castle have been built and re-built as the feudal history of Scotland unfolded through the centuries. Partially destroyed in a Jacobite uprising in 1719, Eilean Donan lay in ruins for the best part of 200 years until Lieutenant Colonel John MacRae-Gilstrap bought the island in 1911 and proceeded to restore the castle to its former glory. After 20 years of toil and labour the castle was re-opened in 1932

  • A view across Loch Scavaig to the Cuillin Mountains in Skye. Canon Eos5D with a 1.2 ND and a grad, probably a 0.9. ISO 50 over a fairly long time to smooth the water over. http://lewisgolbourn.redbubble.com/

  • Arches National Park Sunset in Moab Utah. As I walked down the trail from the Delicate Arch the sun began to set behind the range of mountains in the distance. The sight was truly magnificent. Shot taken with a Nikon D60, 18-55 Nikkor VR lens.

  • Got up for dawn at Port Campbell only for it to be drizzly and overcast, but by the time I got down to the beach and the sun started to rise some awesome colour came through and it made the early start well and truly worth it! / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S. • This little gem can be found just around the corner from Loch Ard Gorge near Port Campbell off Victoria’s Great Ocean Road, Australia. I came here the afternoon before and there were snap happy tourists everywhere but decided to come back the next morning and there wasn’t a soul in sight, just the crashing ocean to keep me company… Unfortunately as of early June 2009 this archway has collapsed leaving two apostles next to eachother.
