A sequence of photos taken over a 15 minute period as a new day began. Bemm River is located on the shore of Sydenham Inlet, at the eastern end of Cape Conran Coastal Park. First I’ll try set the scene for you. In March 2005 hubby & I packed our 14-year-old son and my in-laws into a hired Tarago van and set off on a roadtrip. We live on the Gold Coast, Queensland and our destination was my hometown, Colac, Victoria. We were following the coast road and had a few stops to make along the way visiting friends & family, and doing the tourist thing for the in-laws whom had never been to Victoria. We stayed in Toukley, NSW the first night and caught up with friends who lived nearby for a BBQ. After our second day on the road we arrived, after dark, at Bemm River Hotel. We’d booked into their cabins for a two-night stay while we caught up with friends, and to give the in-laws some well earned R&R time. I woke very early the next morning, excited to be back on Victorian soil for the first time in 13 years. I’d never been to Bemm River before so I decided to go for a walk and have a look around. Luderick Point Memorial Park ~ As Day Breaks / 10 minutes later, the view across Sydenham Inlet from the jetty at Bemm River as I was Waiting For The Sun / 1 minute later, Sunrays l / 1 minute later, Sunrays ll / 1 minute later, Sunrays lll / While everyone else was sleeping, I had sat on a jetty watching the most spectacular sunrise I’d ever seen.

Taken on the same shoot as Dawn I capturing this photo also meant wet feet. Several exposures of the same scene were takn and combined to produce this photo. Sony a900 + CZ 24-70mm f2.8
I was fascinated by the cloud formation and the first fine day after 6 days of rain
Throwing a fishing line never looked so appealing…. Locals try their luck in the placid waters of Lake Macquarie, at The Entrance (Central Coast NSW).

This is a shot of my nephews fishing on the jetty at the Gold Coast. Ominous dark clouds are gathering and seas are getting rough. It was a very windy day and the fishes weren’t biting. I used b&w to illustrate the gloomy nature of the scene.
This is another shot from when I rode out to Lake Ohau to capture the sun setting behind the Ohau mountain range from the Port Bryson jetty. Series / Other Work HDR Horses Hydro Motorcycles People Sky

Looking up at the jetty in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia. Pacific Ocean. Canon 450D 18-55mm lens
Walking along the beach I found this nice little sandcastle left behind on the beach, if only the weather had provided some moody clouds. Nikon D70s Tamron 18-200mm @ 18mm f5.0 1/200s ISO 200
The best time of the day for photography, this was taken at Morisset Park NSW.
Managed to get out during the week to get some photo’s. Took this down at Grange the other day. Had a a beautiful sunset, so tried to make the most of it. Couldn’t resist doing a HDR for this :) Enjoy - Canon 5D Mark2. / - ISO 100, f16, 17mm. / - Canon 17-40 f/4 L. / - Tripod
This image was taken in the Lake District and I love the way the jetty seems to go off into the clouds and mist. It has an unreal, dreamy feel to it. I felt converting the image to black and white simplified it and made if more contemporary.
This is a shot from Day 2 of the big South West photo trip. So it turns out you can take pictures during the the day; who would have known? Canon 5D Mark II – 24-70 2.8L @ 24mm 6sec. f/8 ISO100 10 Stop ND
Just a pic I took while I was out fishing, it was a fun evening, I wound up catching 3 fish :) / ISO: 100 / 20 sec exposure / f5.6
This shot was taken on the same morning as several of my other shots. Yes, it’s been enhanced in Photoshop to boost the colours – I hope not too gaudily ;-) Enjoy the colour..
