Just driving around one night after work amazed by the reflection of the sun off the wheat stalks :)
This photo was taken during a extreme low tide just after sunrise at Monkey Mia in Shark Bay Western Australia. You could walk out about 100 meters from the beach before you got to the water! The location of Monkey Mia is the only place on Western Australia where the sun rises over the ocean. / As you can see in this photo the sun has been blocked by the large cloud formation, but can be seen in the reflections off the wet sand. A 10 shot stitched panorama! Taken with my 20D And 17-40 f/4 L. Featured In: Australia! As we patiently awaited for the highly anticipated Australia Day 2007 fireworks, we were greeted by a rather unpleasant overcast and patchy sky, many thanks to the soaring 40C heat. Great sweat workout though. MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /
On the beach at sunrise on West Island, over looking Pulu Maria, Cocos Islands. / Arriving at the beach with the promise of another stunning day, my husband turned off the car key, reclined the seat and went back to sleep! Home Sweet Home. The Blue Boathouse, Mounts Bay Road, Perth. Western Australia. I’ve finally dragged my lazy feet to the Blue Boathouse down at Mounts Bay Road, Perth. Despite being a 20 minute drive by the freeway, I never seem to allocate the right time to visit this magnificient icon. It’s possibly one of the most photographed building in Western Australia, and I cannot object it anyway if it was. edits: Realigned, adjusted contrast/brightness. Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Really hit this hard with blending modes to enhance the wonderful evening colours in the sky and water. An evening storm had just passed by as the sun was setting.

Mt. Rainier beneath stormy Skies with a myriad of wildflowers dotting a meadow.
This shot was taken before the sun came up.. I went to check out the sunrise, but a storm had blown in and there was very little colour other than blue on the eastern facing coast.. so I headed over to the west coast and took some photos at Sugar Loaf Rock.. I’m very happy I did as I just love this shot! These were the actual colours captured by the camera, I haven’t photoshoped the colours at all, I’ve just adjusted the white balance down somewhat in order to exaggerate the blue that was already there.. love this shot! 3 minute exposure @ f10, ISO100 / ND400 + ND8 + ND4Grad All comments appreciated Paul Pichugin / http://www.paulmp.com.au

A scene I have often passed by, but either the light was wrong, or I didn’t have the time. / On this occasion, things fell into place, except for the fact that I had left my tripod at home !! DOH !! (on a shopping trip for provisions to Fort William !) / It is a hand-held three shot hdr, because of the extreme lighting. / Loch Lochy is reputed to have a “monster” like Loch Ness ! Shot on my Canon EOS50D, iso 100, auto wb, three RAW’s at -2EV, +2EV,0EV, hand held braced against a bush for added stability, Canon 17-85mm IS lens set at 53mm, f11, processed in Photomatix, then Adobe CS3, with colour adjustments, and more selective levels / curves.
