Summer Skin – Death Cab for Cutie Squeeky swings and tall grass, / the longest shadows ever cast, / waters warm and children swim, / we frolic about in our summer skin. Enjoy!
© Claire McAdams / ALL RIGHTS RESERVED I have been fighting with many people that I love lately and I feel like I am just being tossed around by my emotions. I am at home and remembered I had this awesome dress and wanted to do some shots in it so I tried to capture a jump shot in which I looked like I was just flying aimlessly, because that’s kind of how I feel. I thought texture added something cool here but I kept a copy without it because I really like how it looks both with and without texture.
I know that in an artistic sense this is quite simple, however to me it has great meaning. The image is of my two boys who are also the best of friends. They have an unbreakable bond and here, they are doing something they love; just being together.
Here’s some dandelions growing in my front yard with the sky & clouds in the background. / Sold : 4 x cards / 1 x medium framed print.

Check out these rocks… beautiful in every way…. green in colour… they have like an alligator skin texture and they are in a lovely angular pattern. This was taken at sunrise at Forresters beach as a storm was approaching us.
Yes… I did get too close and got wet!.. Ohh the perils of photography! / I Have to date sold 3 x mounted prints of this image.
That’s my son on the end of the jetty with the world at his feet.
This started out as a fairly average snap….I think it’s turned out OK. I think I used about 5 layers of texture.
An accompaniment to Going Nowhere / It is a combination of two photographs and four textures…from memory. / The main location was Edgeworth, Newcastle, NSW. (the shed is from the farm in Tumut)
I have been posting some pictures of the baby birds that had made their home in my kayak a few weeks ago. I have been watching their progress every day, from the one baby on the day that it hatched to 5 happy healthy siblings. To my horror yesterday I found that they had all disappeared! No sign of a struggle though and mum and dad seemed to have gone as well. I guess it was inevitable that they would leave and at least I can go kayaking again!

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain. And I love dancing in the rain, with him.

This is one of the power and telephone pole across the road from my house. Being so close to home it has taken me over a year to pick up the camera, walk to my front gate and take a photo of it! Added a viewfinder texture to the shot and three filters, blue, green and cooling.
