Crate man has climbed onto a roof at victoria park train station in collingwood. / note: I didn’t build crate man, I just took the photo.. all credit goes to the creative disobedient mind behind the installation.
Sorry for not posting many shots over the past few weeks and not leaving any replies. I have been really busy with work and work around the house. I can tell you the past few days have been the worst choice to do some work around the Garden. Anyway here are two HDR – Sunrise shots from a few weeks ago taken from Victoria Road near the old White Bay Power Station. I hope you like it. Please also visit my website alexkess.com and my photoblog . Cheers and Thanks, Alex
I’m a Pepsi drinker…but couldn’t pass up this shot. / I’ve had a few requests for sales on this one… / Sorry…RedBubble says “NO!”
This was taken from the footbridge over the Yarra River at Southbank in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, looking back north east toward Flinders Street train station. The sun was just starting to peek through the mornings thick fog, and appeared as a small, solid white disk through the lifting fog. Part of Melbourne’s skyline was also just beginning to show through. ~ / Browse Images by Category : Snow Landscape Nature Urban
Always lead me to Rocky Mountain National Park it seems…..overlooking the Mummy Range…gotta love that late afternoon lighting! So warm…..especially in Autumn! I suppose you can say I have always been a sucker for old cars, especially Hotrods. There is something about the design and style of the years gone by, that todays designers in the automotive world have lost…the subtle curves of the body line, the way the trim fits along the body, and the overall composition and style….rolling sculpture. Elegance and style which is no longer created by the manufacturers but now recreated by those who spend many a late night out in the garage building a Kustom, wielding the torch, throwing the lead, and hammering the seams. Art it one of it’s most purest forms. Creativity personified. This is quite an older shot but remains one of my favorites, the color in this and the reflection caught my eye when I first captured it. I am not a huge fan of tri-year Chevy’s, but this ‘56 was just to good to pass up. Hope you all like it as much as I do / —-John / —-—-—-—-—-—-—— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. Wilsons Promontory – ‘The Prom’, 2008 Have managed this summer to get out there and surf a bit. Lately just me, my board and my camera down the coast, tenting it and basically taking time out for myself. After a few hours in the water you get this kind of fuzzy peaceful feeling inside, equal parts exhaustion and elation. I love that headspace of daydreaming, and find it a really inspirational state for visual ideas to come to the surface.

Correct, do not pass this scene without stopping for a picture or two. Just out and about, heading to a favorite tree of mine, came upon this fantastic sky. Taken with D200 and Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens. Touch of HDR applied.
Glasgow, Scotland, 2005. A bit of a rework of an image that was originally created as part of a quadtych series – “Vanishing Point (#’s1-4)” – entered into the Nikon Summer Salon back in 2004 – (now called the Kodak Salon). Was beside myself – read; totally friggin stoked! when the series was awarded – “Best Digital Photomedia Work” The Kodak Salon is now Australia’s largest open entry photomedia exhibition held at The Centre for Contemporary Photography, Fitzroy, Melbourne.

taken in madrid just walking along the fantastic characteristic narrow streets. the buildings on each side are about three stories high, and on a nice day if one looks up u can get natural sillhouettes with great contrast of the blue sky
