I caught this today, it was going quite fast, but i love the intense colours and simplicity, and the birds!!!
This was taken just after my 21st birthday – after a great day out. I hope you enjoy the image, as it was just spectacular being there!

New Mexico ….well known for it’s light to photographers and this is one example as to why. During this time of the year, the sun often tends to linger in the western sky and cast some amazing long and warm shadows to the East, and lucky for me, that meant against the Sandia Mountain Range. What really got me is that sheer openess of everything, just huge, gigantic open spaces that one can stop at, set up their gear, and have at it. Anytime, anywhere, and people don’t look at ya like you’re 1/2 insane lol Anyways, thoughts appreciated! / —-John

Some open space on Leon A Wurl where a group of birds took off as I was shooting the trees.

The sun setting precisely over “El Nevado del Tolima” casts a shadow against the flaming clouds above. Though unseen at a distance of some 150 Kms it nevertheless leaves its mark on the evening sky over Bogotá, Colombia / Taken from the top of Monserrate, Bogotá, Colombia /
The last night of our trip I camped out for two hours waiting for the clouds to do something interesting and for the sun to set, I took many exposures, and hardly know which is the one to focus on now… heh
Nothing too tricky about this, but there it is…
Framing this time, with no arch… LOL
Wander often this old road and I daydream. Right-hand side can be seen old beautiful rail fences, memento past times. Near in the Salo southern Finland. The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east. The everyday routine sucks us heavily. The hard day takes away our smiles, enthusiasm, good mood, warmth of our hearts. Never give up! Evening crowns the day. Look what positive things has happened today. Enjoy them and that will bring smile on our faces and calmness will fill our entities. Always break through the crust of fatigue and apathy and end the day gloriously. And the Heaven will smile to us sending Its blessings. Hugs. :)
The Forgotten Farmhouse on a cold winter morning, just after the snowstorm had passed. This farm is located in north central Pennsylvania along Bartlow Road, near the village of Clarkstown, PA, in Muncy Valley. The photo was taken from the highest point on the field above the farmhouse. This photo was taken this morning, with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR camera through a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L telephoto zoom lens at the 55mm focal length. The shutter speed was 1/000th sec at f/5.6. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a Manfrotto “pistol-grip” head. Your comments are always welcome!
