  • have always wanted to capture a big plane landing but could never be there at the right time or having the wind blowing in the right direction. The low clouds helps bring the plane closer than usual….i could almost touch it….hahhah. To see a hugh metal flying over you at approx. 200kph is…...priceless. The jetfuel, the noise…...Perfect. I am NOT a plane enthusiast , but it is fascinating to watch. Sydney “Kingsford Smith” Airport Boeing 747 landing train plane truck car chair Transportation

  • This is the last glimpse of Australia I had as I flew home to New Zealand. I think this is one of those archetypal Planet shots. A beautiful, quiet Earth a few hours before that devastating Tsunami of 2005

  • Above the thick overcast London sky, lay a city of clouds.

  • Oh girl / Your love is too precious to waste / All I ask is a bit of a taste / Would you let me take your love to new heights? - – - / NOTE: To my HUGE suprise, this photo was published in The Sunday Times Newspaper (Homes Magazine, Perth WA) 23rd Sept 2007 under the RedBubble column. • The sun goes down on the only remaining English Electric Lightning at the former RAF station at Binbrook, Lincolnshire, UK. Binbrook’s Lightnings provided quick reaction cover for UK airspace during the Cold War, and the Squadrons based there were the last to operate the type. Lightnings were retired from RAF service at the end of the 1980s. RAF Binbrook closed down upon their retirement. A proportion of the sales of this image will go to the Dave Cole Memorial Fund. • In Nov ‘08, Jan’ 09, and again on March 7, 2009 this image was featured in the group, Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams. Many thanks to Sharon Mau (and her sister, Karon) for honoring this image! On a road trip through the state of Alaska, we came upon this beautiful lake. I didn’t make notes so now can’t remember the name of the lake or its location. Taken several years ago using my manual-focus SLR Canon AE-1. This image was scanned from a film print. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. If you want this photograph, I would be honored for you to purchase it. ©2008-2009 Patricia Montgomery | Bucks Mountain Galleries | All rights reserved.

  • ...........LIKE THE SONG / He went away with my heart… Something completly different from me,it was fun to do…and yes the plane was there but I wasn’t fast enough to frame it right….. :)))) /

  • I’d like to be able to say that when I was composing this shot I saw the plane taking off out of frame and worked out its trajectory would take it just over th e sun as it was rising, but I can’t :-(. Truth is I was so focussed on the rising sun I didn’t even notice the plane til I downloaded the shot and started working on it. So this is actually a tiny crop of the original landscape orientation I shot it in. One of those serendipitous moments you don’t even notice at the time. Taken from Bundeena Cliffs, Royal National Park just a few moments after Streaming to the Dawn. Another stumble upon going through the archives. Canon 30D / Tv: 1/15sec / Av: f/11 / ISO: 100

It was produced in World War II and saw action starting in 1944 as a multi-role fighter/bomber/reconnaissance/interceptor warplane for the Luftwaffe. The Me 262 had a negligible impact on the course of the war due to its late introduction, with 509 claimed Allied kills. and a English Spitfire Mk in a dogfight. • A restored Vulcan Bomber being ‘escorted’ into the Dawlish Air Show, 20/08/09, by the Red Arrows Display Team. / This was the first time in 17 years that these aircraft have been seen together at a show. For those interested in the Vulcan, I will upload one of the craft on its own, and I will be adding a journal with a few more of the pictures on. / I will not bore you with lots of pics of the same craft. / Also, I probably will not be uploading any Red Arrows shots as there are enough already on RB. I used my Sigma 70-300 Lens for this capture. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large.
