  • / . / I had some requests of a portrait shot of my photo entitled “Luna over Luna Park”. Luckily, I had taken the shot. I’m not great at giving photos titles, hence the title for this one. This was taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, “Luna Harbour” and “Luna PANORAMA”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because this is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !

  • The road to cloud nine, where our new attitude energy is supposed to come from.

  • What do you call the light that permanently imprints itself into the deepest corner of your cerebral real estate? Just a memorable one, divine, sublime? The star was going down fast, as it was just a matter of ‘to get it over and done with‘ a daily sunset routine – until that moment. Like it was switched on by some all powerful hand residing somewhere in the center of a kingdom of light, the sunbeam reached across the valley, bringing all the associated attributes with it, like joy and warmth, just for a few moments, before disappearing altogether. The blue cold haze drowned the beautiful Hawkes Bay valley, but not before the last ray of sun got there first. I was standing in awe … for a while in fact, still in disbelief. Review button and LCD screen confirmed it did happen. Sweet. I’ll treasure selfishly the melody of breeze passing through the treetops, the smell of golden grass and feel of fallen leafs under my feet. Not to worry, I left something to share with you. Here it is.

  • I caught up with my thoughts just before Greytown, the storm caught up with me shortly after.

  • I was seldom able to see an opportunity until it had ceased to be one. Mark Twain (1835 –1910)

  • The day was horrible, persistant rain and heavy showers ( I’ve been told there is a difference ) and blowing a gale. I noticed a break in the clouds on the horizon and took a gamble that it would clear around sunset. I high-tailed it up to the forest and was blessed, for once, with the most amazing lighting I’d ever seen. The New Forest pony was the icing on the cake as far as I was concerned. I used a Canon 20D and a Sigma 10-20mm lens. This was shot in Raw and processed using PS CS2. The processing was: change colour balance / levels / curves / slightly lighten the pony and land with an adjustment layer / sharpen / save This was taken in the New Forest National Park in Southern England.

  • The future is always beginning now. Mark Strand

  • Grass Hearts © Vicki Ferrari Hearts a-floating… the blue sky is like a flowing river, filled with beautiful emotions. But the hearts float above, their strength comes from within, not from the support of another heart. Their strength is their own and they share with each other, not use each other as leaning posts. They therefore are functional (and not becoming dysfunctional) and self-reliant (therefore not co-dependant).... Taken at Alstonville, New South Wales, (Northern Rivers Area), Australia. Stopped by the side of the road to take some photographs, of course! :) And for looking at my Grass Hearts, oh Grassy Arts!! :) Thank you! :) / Vicki Purchase Card / Purchase Framed Print / Purchase Laminated Print / Tech / Nikon D70 / Nikkor 29-105mm / Photoshop (uploaded 8th September 2009)
